“Lovely shrine, great dragon at the water fountain!”
Review of Aagata Shrine

This is one of the prettier small shrines I visisted - it had some lights up and had a variety of tiny shrines within it. It also had a particularly impressive dragon at its purification fountain at the entrance, which I rather liked! Not a big or especially exciting shrine, but definitely worth looking at on a visit to Uji. My guess it that the trees there look lovely in autumn and spring (not so spectacular in January, when I went, sadly!).
