“Fantastic Place to Stay”

This must be our 3rd or 4th Visit and are booked in again for Dec this year. One of the loveliest locations we have ever stayed. Spotlessly clean and the fact you can take the dogs is brilliant. We highly recommend this accommodation and the proprietors are lovely people. Pub across the road. Lovely food and good beer. What more could you ask for.

“Great stay at The Annexe and Flat B”

I moved into The Annexe for 2 weeks whilst working nearby. Easy to collect the key. Was pleasantly surprised when I moved in. Everything was clean and well furnished with very comfortable double bed. Kitchen with Combi microwave oven, toaster, kettle and fridge.Use of washing machines and dryers in separate utility room.
I changed my plans part way through the stay as my son came to stay and Keith was very flexible in changing the booking details into Flat B. This was a larger apartment with living room, 2 bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom. Again this was well furnished with a very comfortable bed.
Great pub with excellent food across the road. Ryedale museum next to the pub. 5 minutes walk to the North Yorkshire Moors, Beautiful location with wandering sheep and stream meandering through the centre of the village
Poor mobile phone signal in the village but both flats that I stayed in had reliable wifi so Skype was used as an alternative.
I would definitely recommend either property to anyone staying in the area.

We stayed here with our Golden Retriever Alfie in June. It is a great apartment, cosy and well appointed. So good to take our dog and relax in lovely surroundings. Location too is excellent - in the North Yorkshire Moors national park and close to a pub and village facilities. We will be back!

“Enchanting location, cosy and comfortable apartment and lovely welcome”

Stayed for one week in the studio apartment with my husband. It was ideal for us with all amenities in one large comfortable room and a well equipped bathroom. The apartment was clean and homely and in a great location on the village green within walking distance of several lovely tearooms and a pub. The museum opposite is well worth a visit too. Also within walking distance of the North Yorkshire Moors and a short drive to the East Coast resorts of Whitby and Scarborough, this was a delightful place to stay and very relaxing indeed.

I booked this for my daughter as we were staying nearby and it what a brilliant little spot - opposite the pub and the Ryedale folk museum
I have already recommended this place to many of my friends

“Clean, well furnished apartment that is dog-friendly in a pictureseque North Yorkshire Moors village”

The Green at Hutton-le-Hole, North Yorkshire was recommended by a friend and what a great recommendation it was. We've stayed there 3 times in the last 18 months and are already planning our next visit.

We, my wife, dog and me, stay in the annexe, one of three apartments at The Green, up a well-lit stairway above the utility area which has two washing machines, a tumble dryer and enclosed parking for the other two flats. The open plan apartment has a large double bed, plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, a two-seater couch, coffee table and large Freeview TV plus a DVD player. The kitchenette has a standard fridge freezer, toaster, microwave, sink, kettle, plates, cups and cutlery and the well-lit private bathroom consists of a shower, toilet and sink. Towels and bedding are provided. On cold nights the large radiators around the apartment and in the bathroom provide ample heating making the room lovely and warm.

The Green is right in the centre of this picturesque village which is split in two by a small stream. Sheep roam free so you need to keep your dog on a lead and be careful where you step! The Ryedale Folk Museum is located nearby and gets a steady flow of visitors throughout the day which helps bring the village alive but far from crowded. There are three tea-rooms (I’ve tried all three) all with delicious cakes and snacks. A village pub, which is dog friendly, and serves great food. A small number of craft shops and a gift shop, which also serves ice-cream (Shop on the Green) and is where you collect the apartment keys from.

If you need to stretch your legs and those of your dog you can take a short stroll around the village, wander across the way marked pathways or if you are feeling more energetic (my dog is getting too old), you can even walk to the next village (Lastingham). Alternatively, by car, you can quickly drive into Kirkbymoorside or Pickering or travel out to Filey, Scarborough or Whitby.

My only real gripes with the annexe are that you have to use the nearby car park and the kitchenette is somewhat cramped making it difficult to cook a meal there but for a short, dog-friendly stay the facilities, location, friendly service and of course price outweigh the inconvenience and I would and have recommended it to friends and family and look forward to staying again.

I have stayed in the annexe on a number of occasions,on my own,as a couple and most importantly it was the first holding I took with my wife and new born son. That we chose the annexe should say it all. Its welcoming, comfortable, warm and just like home. Everything you need is in the annexe, great kitchen, superb bathroom and a lovely overall feel to the place. It's always so lovely when you walk through the door as the owners make a real effort to make you feel as though it's your own place. I leave this with a slight time of regret as it means I'll probably now not be able to book the place! Perfect perfect perfect
