We took our two grandchildren, aged 11 and 7, to the Museum during the school holidays and had a great day out. There were various recreated shops, a crofters cottage, a restored cottage and a blacksmith. There was also activities that the children could get involved in, decorating biscuits, dressing up in the photographers studio. The children also enjoyed the craft workshops where they made a paper bird and a garland.
The model village has been restored to a good standard and the museums are worth visiting, as is the farm and the tractors and farming implements.
All in all an excellent, reasonably priced, family day out.
