“False menu description”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 29, 2013

On holiday in Barbados and visiting Lime Grove Shopping Centre in Holetown and read the menu describing the Mahi Mahi fish as a 12 oz portion What we got was an overcooked dry piece of fish weighing 4-6ozs sitting on a bed of uninteresting cous cous completely devoid of the pineapple as stated on menu.
We complained to the pleasant enough waitress who conveyed our thoughts to the duty manager Service charge was removed and that was it No apology.
Give this place a miss unless of course you only want Pizza
To the owners - Retrain the chef and be less dishonest in your menu descriptions
For those who really want decent food at a reasonable price - go east to The Cove and The Atlantis Hotel

“Terrible Value for money!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 11, 2013

As a regular at this restaurant I would have to say that they have not improved one bit! The decor is the same as the day they opened and their menu really hasn't improved that much. They post pictures of what you "should" be getting and you "don't" get what is in the picture... False advertising I think it's called. The pasta is cooked before hand and then warmed up in the MICROWAVE! the vegetables are stored in zip lock bags (health hazard) and the service is on average. A traditional Italian restaurant should have a pepper mill readily available on the table for the customer to use to their discretion, a traditional Italian waiter/ waitress is supposed to grind the pepper in front of the customer and not just plomp it on the table. If a customer has a problem with a dish, you must realize this one very important saying " A CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT!" even when they're wrong, just replace the dish with the correct version, apologize for the inconvenience and charge them for one dish not both! These are things that I have noticed while dining at Ciao Bella. A word of advice to the owner/ manager, change things around a bit, change the menu to what the customers will buy, do everything to order ( dump the zip lock bags) and get staff that are kind, friendly, understanding, that listen, professional.

“Decent Take-Away Pizza”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 1, 2013

Ciao Bella offers decent pizza for take-away.

We ordered a 12" Symphony of the Sea.

Positives: The pizza was tasty and enough for two people. There was adequate, but not abundant, shrimp and scallop on the pizza.

Negatives: The roasted garlic cloves were a bit much. The crust was a bit over-cooked for my taste.

Overall, I would get a pizza from here again.

“Average mall pizza”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2013

We went when they were closing on Sunday (7:45) and we were rushed to order. We did not realize they were closing, but kept our order simple and got 1 personal cheese pizza and 1 personal pepperoni pizza. The dough was thick and fluffy and the sauce flavor was good, but overall it's nothing special. The pizza at Spago was much better and I'd skip it if we hadn't been desperate for somewhere to eat in Holetown late on a Sunday! Maybe their other food is better, but I don't know.
