Wow-wow-wow! Where to begin?
We stayed for 2 weeks at the Sunswept- and although we are used to staying at 5* resorts/hotels, we just couldn't afford those prices in Barbados. So Sunswept it was! The service here was AMAZING. (Thank you Janice!). We had a few cocktail parties hosted by the hotel, and because it's a smaller hotel (under 30 rooms) the staff is much more personable, and everyone is so friendly!!

As previously reviewed, your room will come with kitchen, ocean view balcony (large), a safe & air conditioning. Free internet in the lobby. Room service everyday. Alarm clock/wake up calls. TV has only a few channels but we made do. The beds were comfy but the pillows were just bad! (If you can- bring your own?) There is a grocery store across the street, and the ocean with beach steps from your room. Free beach lounge chairs for hotel guests. Swimming pool/lounge area. There's restaurants all along the beach strip (Zaccios PIZZA is next door- "best in barbados") banks, shopping malls, and bus stops taking you wherever you want across the street. (Take the blue busses- not the yellow ones! Ha- you will learn why if you try! And yes it is SAFE!) There's a duty free shop 10 minute walk away (you can ask receptionist!). Bring your passport for any Duty Free shopping!

There are guys that come up to you at the beach from time to time: lookout for MARK. The best! He knows what he's taking about and you will not over pay for excursions. Swimming with sea turtles anyone?

I would highly recommend my friends and family to stay here. *Keep in mind: there is no elevator and a total of 4 floors. We were on the 2nd (great view!!), didn't mind the steps but for an elderly this is good info*. At first we booked it because it seemed to have what we wanted (ocean, kitchen, air con, and in our price range) but then we arrived, and although it's no 'palace'... the service/people were incredible. And the things like, bad pillows and 5 tv channels didn't matter. We would not have had the same trip, had we not stayed at the Sunswept. And in the end- that's what matters.

Room Tip: Wine opener, dish soap, something to clean your dishes (brush). They do provide clean dish towel daily!

Normally I don't go for 'normal' hotels, but this location right on the beach was too much to ignore. Good food, good beach, boats and girls ... what more do you need?

There is a great restaurant called 'The beach house' very close. It was easy to wlak along the beach which was lit up.

I enjoyed watching the water skiers and the day trippers ride along the Caribbean. Great hotel

We stayed at the Sunswept Beach Hotel for the first time in July 2011. It was the first time I had ever stayed in a hotel in Barbados and I was nervous because I had recommended my entire family in the US to stay there with us too. However, after a minor mishap with a non working air con and bathroom light, I would fully recommend this hotel.

Each room has a small kitchenette, making self catering easy. The room itself is clean and spacious and all rooms have a sea view. The bathroom was lovely with a great shower. The hotel itself was kept spotless by an army of cleaners and the staff were polite, friendly and helpful. The pool was cleaned early every morning and was open by 8am. The hotel fronts beautiful Holetown beach and look out for Mark Jackman who is the king of watersports on that beach.

Adjacent to the hotel is Zacchios Restaurant, the bar of which faces the pool area. On the other side of the hotel was Surfside Restaurant which provided a steelband every Sunday which could delightfully be heard from the hotel.

Across the street from the hotel is the West Coast Mall which offered not only the Bean n Bagel Restaurant but SuperCentre supermarket. The whole area of Holetown is especially geared for tourism and is abundant with shops and restaurants.

The friendliness of everyone assails the senses which makes this hotel and area of Barbados a treat for a well deserved holiday.

I would heartily recommend this hotel to anyone and will definately stay there again on my return to beautiful Barbados

the hotel sits right on a beautiful beach in the centre of holetown, with a bank just next door, and across the road is a shopping mall with a good supermarket, there is also an excellent restaurant next door called zaccios which not only offers great dining with a sea view but also acts as a poolside snack bar for the hotel.the hotel staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are not only really big but they are also very clean.i would therefore not only recomend thishotel to anyone but i would not hesitate to stay there again in the future

After reading the reviews of Sunswept on Tripadvisor I decided to book it and I don't regret it! The hotel was very clean, great location (across from a supermarket and other shops), with 2 restaurants nearby but most importantly: the beach!!! We took beautiful walks on the beach every day and the view from our room was amazing...beautiful sunsets on a daily basis... Anyway, I highly recommend the place!!!
