Having done all of the fine dining, the local shacks and bars, we decided to visit this place for the tapas evening.
I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a night out so much.
The band was fantastic . The owner made us feel welcome, the staff were fantastic, the food fantastic, the setting, although a bit out of the way was relaxing and made for a perfect evening.
I could not fault it and would highly recommend putting this place on your itinerary .
In fact it was so good, we wondered if it would be so good if we returned. So we did last night and lo and behold we had a fun fun fun evening.
I helped out Mathew the singer with a bit of reggae, somehow all the oldies present sprang to life, and an impromptu restaurant Conga commenced.
I cant wait to come again.
Highly recommended and a big thank you to the owners. I do however think you owe me a drink as I have been your salesman while staying at the House .

Tucked away in the picturesque Chatel Village, Holetown, Barbados is a lovely little cafe called Carizma, we ate there several times, breakfast, snack and evening meal, our favourite was the Tapas evening, a varied, dellicous choice of food accompanied by a local band. All food and drink was very reasonably priced. The staff were very attentive and friendly. We would recommend Carizma, for all of its charm, food, staff, atmoshere and of course the band.

Very pleasant setting to have breakfast, lunch or dinner. Good quality food at affordable prices. Highlight is tapas nights on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Inventive tapas with delights such as chorizo, mahi-mahi strips, tuna, meat balls, patatas bravos and on. Highlight of the evening is the set by the local band 1359Barbados. Young locals playing Beatles, Stones, Eagles and more. On the night we visited the lead singer Matthew announced he had quit his job to pursue a career in music much to his Mother's concern. He followed the announcement with 'everything's gonna be allright' - the Marley song. Go for it Matthew.

Be sure to book as they only have a few tables.

This little cafe is tucked in the middle of the Chattel shopping village In Holetown. It is run by a couple from the UK. Mainly, they serve breakfast and lunch, but on a Thursday evening, you can select from 12 different Spanish tapas dishes.

These included, spare ribs, fried mahi ahi, feta cheese and olives, meat balls in tomato together with French bread. We chose Ten Saints beer to accompany this, but half way through the meal, sadly they ran out.

The three piece band was very good. Not too loud for this venue and they played well known favourites from the Rolling Stones, the Beatles and Bob Marley.

The tapas is served in small owls, but there was enough for all four of us to share. We did not order desert.

Service was good, food was tasty and I would say average to expensive for the area, we paid £20 each for food, with beers extra.
This is not your typical Barbados meal out as its tapas but its quite an enjoyable night out.

Carizma was recommended to us by other guests at our hotel who had had a really enjoyable evening there the previous week. They have tapas evenings Tuesday and Thursday so we booked for Thursday and took 2 friends along. We enjoyed a selection of 9 out of the 12 tapas, all of which were very tasty. The small band was excellent with a wide range of music. Service attentive and very reasonably priced drinks. I'd definitely recommend for a fun night out and makes a pleasant change from Tides, the Beach House, Lone Star etc. all of which have a very similar offering.
