“Final stop on our trip”
Reviewed April 28, 2013

We had a couple of hours before leaving for the airport and hadn't been able to make it here for Sunday nights dinner and Steel Band. I'm glad we took the time for our last drinks, which were exceptional, here on the beach. It's casual. Vendors were selling their wares, and a man asked us if we wanted to go out on a boat. With more time, we would have come back, gone for a boat ride and spent more time on this lovely beach.

“Surfside is good on Sunday Night with the Steel Band”
Reviewed April 27, 2013

Surfside has a great location right on the beach and we started our week with a dinner here since a Steel Band entertains on Sunday evenings. I made reservations on the Internet before I left home just to be sure we had a table - not sure if this is really necessary in April's low season.
Surfside is a great place for people watching and the prices are reasonable for a fish, chicken and rice or potato dinner with a bottle of wine, around $120 US for 3 people. It has a casual, beach vibe with great TV screens for those in the bar area who wish to watch sports while quaffing a cold Banks beer.
Service was pleasant, a little slow to start, but an apology was provided and we weren't in a big hurry. A large table of tourists situated right next to the band was upset since the music prevented them from chatting, but once alcoholic beverages and food turned up, they chilled out a little! Reminder: there are plenty of other restaurants that don't have music and even the locals come out on Sunday to the Surfside for a little shimmy!

“Best local beach bar in the area”
Reviewed April 23, 2013

Great beach bar, the place to meet and have sundowners whilst on Happy Hour! Rum punches deliver just that, they are excellent, easy drinking but deliver a huge punch so be careful! Sunday evening Steel Band is a very popular night, and all UK live football is shown. Great bar dont miss it!
