Good local dishes at excellent prices. Great location on the beach at Holetown. Lively atmosphere with a real buzz.

“Quick and Easy”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 15, 2013

If you just want a quick burger or a fish fry here is a good place to stop. However, you have to be lucky to catch the shift with the good cook, otherwise beware!!

Fun, easy, relaxed.

“Setting fabulous, wish the food matched”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 14, 2013 via mobile

Beautiful romantic setting especially at night, right on the beach, a typical Bajan beach bar. Quite basic, wooden tables, shack type building, open to the elements as you would expect, with lots of atmosphere. They often have a street stalls during the day and as its right on the beach it is busy especially at weekends. We always eat here on the first night of our Barbados holiday but the last couple of times it has disappointed.
It was quite busy when we went, on a Tuesday evening, and we had 2 burgers and 2 beers but the service was slow and indifferent and the burgers were overlooked and crumbly. The bill was about £20. Used to love it as a great intro to our holiday but will be choosing somewhere else now. Sorry Surfside. The food has to match the setting and ambience.

“Glorious”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 10, 2013

This is a wonderful place. The setting, right on the beach, is exceptional. I had the best blackened snapper I've ever eaten here but avoid the deplorable Bajan invention called the 'Roti'. The rum punches and daiquiris are magnificent and sometimes surprisingly strong. It has that quality of all great bars - the conversation is general - everyone talks to everyone. The ladies behind the bar mask their considerable efficiency with an air of contemptuous indifference to the customers. It's fun.

“Busy Bar”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 8, 2013

Have just spent two weeks in Barbados, Surfside is a great location for the boys to watch the football, if you are in a hurry for food then be prepared for a wait, staff in general were not very friendly which I find odd as this is a place where a lot of holiday makers visit. Sunday nights are jazz nights, we booked a meal for eight and had a very pleasant evening, food was good as was the jazz band, they just need some happy smiley bar staff!!
