“crappy service. Enough said.”
Reviewed January 26, 2012

We went for breakfast because I couldn't find the Cafe Bar Carizma. (I just should've asked- when we found it it was so cute and full of people!) At Indigo's the interior space was beautiful with a nautical wooden theme, open windows on the second floor for a good view. That is a good start, but these waitresses sure didn't want to be there, or for us to be there either. First waitress was grumpy and gruff. Second just about threw our jelly onto the table and walked away with the speed of a contemptuous snail. What about the food? The food was average, not great. My egg had an "off" taste, like it had been fried in Pam.

“Worst restaurant we went to.........”
Reviewed March 10, 2011

We also went to Indigo for a meal and fully agree with all the comments of "memorable for all the wrong reasons." No welcome here unless I suspec,t you are a"regular." This was the only place where we felt most unwelcome. The person who I presume was the Proprietor, spoke to folk either side of our table but studiously ignored us. I was puzzled when we first entered as one or two folk stared at us, so much so in fact that I began to wonder if we had gatecrashed a private party or club. Food not typical Bajan - ok if you do not wish to depart from plain "meat and two veg." but when abroad we like to try the local fare. No one enquired as to whether the meal was to our liking etc., and we did not even have any acknowledgement as we left - never to return agai!.

“Best Lunch in Town”
Reviewed February 25, 2011

We ate at Indigo's 3 times during our stay in St. James. The palce is very clean and simple in design. the best feature are the shutter windows. the breeze is wonderful during the hot midday. We have no complaints with the staff they were very pleasant. The menu is typical for lunch, wraps, all day breakfast, salads etc. The wraps and paaninis are outstanding hte slads fresh and tasty. They have lovely inexpensive wines, a nice crisp Pino Grigio to go along and viola, a most satisfying lunch break. Make sure you go and sit by a window.

“Memorable for all the wrong reasons”
Reviewed February 7, 2011

Sadly, we did not find this place at all friendly when we visited it for dinner and the reviews we had read did not reflect our experience. If you like 'meat and two veg' and you consider yourself a bit staid, then this is the place for you - they even serve Cottage Pie and ice cream is served in oversized ramekins. The waitresses wear mop caps and are not trained in how to serve. Upon arrival, we received no welcome and no one said goodbye, unlike all the other restaurants we visited in Holetown and elsewhere on the island, where we were overwhelmed by the friendliness and charm of the locals. The two people who looked like the proprietors of Indigo are select in who they speak to and we think you probably have to belong to their 'club' before you receive a welcome. No concern was shown to our elderly friends as we helped them down steep steps to the carpark.

All in all a disappointing experience, but an experience which will provide us with much laughter as we reminisce over our, otherwise, wonderful holiday.

“simple pleasures.....”
Reviewed April 13, 2010

A super place in the middle of Holetown, open for lunch everyday and evening meal Tues/Thurs till 9pm.
British/Caribbean food (mostly home-made) at decent prices. Great pizza and fish dishes. Small but good selection of wine.
Lovely atmosphere, colonial, shutters on windows, large fans, spaced out tables, laid back and very friendly.
We always make an effort to go at least once when we're in H'town.
