We were here for our 20th anniversary. The room was beautiful, in the morning monkeys would walk across the roof to the palm trees for nuts. The restaurant was one of the best on Barbados.
The beach was narrow as many are now in the Caribbean.
While we were there turtles were nesting on the beach.
All water sports were available right there. The pool area was quiet and lovely.
The grounds are beautifully keep up and the entire staff was very nice.
Bring the BIG check book.....

Lovely Caribbean resort, run really well with great attention to detail. There was always enough sunbeds and umbrellas. Super staff, and the busiest watersports I've seen. We ate out quite a lot and really enjoyed the restaurant at their sister hotel, The Sandpiper next door. If you want a family style caribbean Xmas in the sun then this is the place.

My wife, our son, his Godmother and I are leaving this Tropical Paradise tomorrow with our customary heavy hearts. We have been here since mid December, and of all our many fabulous trips here, this has been the best. What makes the Hotel is its people - the surroundings are first rate, as are the facilities, etc etc, but over the years we have come to regard a number of the staff here as our friends, and keep in touch with them throughout the year. Nothing is too much trouble, and this stems from the Top, from Mrs O'Hara and her sons Patrick and Mark. Particular mention should be made of the cuisine this year - it has been so good that, when we have ventured out to any of the numerous top class restaurants in the area, none has come close. We cannot recommend the Hotel highly enough, and will definitely be back.

Room Tip: The Villas are a hidden gem!

Coral Reef Club has a long standing reputation as one of the very best hotels in Barbados and you can see why.It moves smoothly forward like a well oiled machine.Much of this is to do with the staff. Not only are they well trained and efficient but they are cheerful ,friendly and keen to please.
Add this to the stunning beautiful gardens and the beautifully designed bar and restaurant and it is hard to go wrong if you decide to holiday here.
The rooms are very comfortable with pleasant terraces, good bathrooms and all the necessary amenities like wi fi.TV's and tea/coffee making kits are available on request. The cocktail party at the O'Hara's house, the tennis coaching and the daily sorbet run on the beach are welcome touches and when the boardwalk is finished there will be a delightful walk into Holetown. This coast is too built up now for huge sweeping unspoilt beaches that still exist on some other islands but the beach here is still very lovely.Sadly even in the pre Xmas quiet time some guests still 'bag' their favoured beach loungers even though there is plenty for all.
The food is first class and efficiently and skilfully executed.A few more local Caribbean ingredients would have been welcome and ,for our taste, even though the barbecue night was very good, two buffets a week was a touch too much. But you can always eat in their sister hotel the Sandpiper where the food is also excellent,if you want to avoid buffet excess.
All in all this is one of the best hotels in the whole Caribbean and we would not hesitate to stay here again. However the risk must be that the regular returning guests like the formula so much that the hotel is never quite able to change when it needs to.

After several recommendations for this hotel we decided to try it and we were not disappointed!! The service, food, grounds, rooms are wonderful. Yes, the clientele are of a certain age but everyone is so friendly and welcoming. My main tip would be for ladies who are dining in the hotel restaurant, it is quite dressy so make sure you have enough cocktail dresses with you!!

Returning from our first visit in November 2013, we both agreed that we’d definitely return to the Coral Reef Club. Being our first visit to Barbados, and the Coral Reef Club, we really weren’t sure what to expect. Some of the previous Tripadvisor reviews had alluded to it being more suited to the ‘mature crowd’ and that you may have trouble finding space on the beach but happily none of this turned out to be true. Upon arrival we received a warm welcome, and were quickly shown to our room (Garden Cottage) where a rum punch awaited us! The room was very spacious and beautifully appointed. Some previous reviews have mentioned lack of TV’s in the room but it’s very clear that they are available on request if you’d like one. Being able to have breakfast delivered to your room with no extra charge is a very nice touch. Overall, the ambiance and setting of the hotel and the gardens all contribute to ensuring a relaxed yet luxurious atmosphere and you certainly feel looked after. The reception staff were always so friendly and helpful; helping us with dinner reservations, booking taxis and always delivered with a smile. Although the hotel was full when we stayed, there was plenty of room on the beach and the pool was almost always empty. True, the sunbeds nearest the sea do go very early (and I mean by 7am!) but there is plenty of space although a few more umbrella’s wouldn’t go a miss. There’s great snorkelling directly off the hotel’s beach. The daily ‘sorbet run’ to guests on the beach is a welcome treat and the bar terrace is a beautiful place to have a spot of lunch or watch the sunset with a rum punch. The hotel is within an easy walk (10-15mins) of Holetown and if you fancy an informal seafood lunch or dinner, you can’t do much better than ‘Seacat’ restaurant which is literally opposite the front entrance of the hotel. We also ate at Daphne’s (probably wouldn’t return here), The Cliffs (fabulous), The Tides (also good) and Uncle George’s at the Oistin’s Fish Fry (an experience not to be missed!). The hotel restaurant is also very good; with the BBQ night offering delicious seafood and steaks a plenty. In summary, the hotel is the perfect place to get away from it all and relax and we’re already thinking about when we can go back!

First time to the Coral Reef Club and must say was very pleased with the whole experience.Chose to stay for a week to celebrate our silver wedding on the 10th of December . We have stayed in hotels all over the world and I have to say if your looking for a quiet enviroment with a touch of class and service second to none then this has it all .
So often you travel with expectations that are often not delivered when you arrive but this time our expectations were fullfilled and often exceeded.
Its often the 'little' things that make a good experience into a great experince and we were not dissapointed .
We will certainly be back .
