We stayed in Mundesley for a couple of nights and decided to try The Manor Hotel restaurant on one of the nights. We choose the "Steak Night".
We sat in a very nice modern dining room at the back of the hotel overlooking the sea. The service was quick and the staff helpful. The steaks were both tender and cooked as we had asked. Only one fault was the lack of peas, or a salad garnish, and a few less chips, however this did not spoil the experience.
We both had dessert and they too were fine. To sum up a nice setting with good "pub grub" type food at a reasonable price.

Arrived Saturday for three nights to be told that we could only stay 2 as we had been wrongly booked in. However, the manager was most apologetic, admitted it was their fault gave us a free meal and booked us another hotel for the last night.
Our room was not as nice as the one in the photo but it was clean and comfortable. The shower was a bit pokey. Food was good and staff pleasant.
What could have been a bit of a disaster turned out well in the end.

Me and the wife spent two nights together at this hotel and left pleasantly surprised. Staff and rooms were lovely and the food was good too, especially the Sunday carvery. It was a nice break away from it all and the location is lovely with a wonderful beach just minutes down the road. It is a traditional seaside hotel that is full of character and if that's what you're after you won't be disappointed. Drink prices are very reasonable too if you like a pint or two!

We booked a superior room, 3 night break, to celebrate our anniversary. The room was bright ,airy and had a fantastic view of the coast.Clean and comfortable.Spacious bathroom with another wonderful vista out to sea.Breakfasts were very good, as was the Sunday carvery. Evening meals were available from the dining room on Saturday and Sunday evenings and in the Terrace dining room or bar on Monday.Steaks excellent.
The only problem occurred when it poured with rain on our last evening, a leak was discovered through the bedroom ceiling. Unfortunately there was not another room to move us to but we coped by mopping up and moving the bed slightly. No further disaster happened overnight.Let's face it, it is a 130yr old building with myriad roof dips/troughs etc.It certainly will not stop us staying again or recommending it to other people.
The staff were lovely as well.

Ample room and bathroom and great view in an older traditional seaside hotel. Service fine, food a bit `pubby`, lots of chips, fresh breakfast, ample car parking. Only quirk is you can`t check out before 9.00am, the office is closed, only then do you see the signs.

Room Tip: Ask for sea view.

I stayed here for 1 night, with a work colleague, while working in the Mundesley area.

Check in was very efficient and friendly. We had rooms with views along the coast - absolutley loveley. The rooms were comfortable - nice comfy bed - loads of fluffy towells - huge wardrobe cupboard - and the free wifi with no annoying passwords which worked wonderfully. Four packets of biscuits - luxury !

Had a very pleasant nights sleep - no noise at all !

Downside ? Breakfast.... I have to agree with some other contributors that the breakfast room is rather dark and dated (for want of a better word) and the ability to have breakfast in the area overlooking the sea - an area one can see but not use - would have been far better. Also we arrived just before breakfast started at 7am and finally got the cooked breakfast at 7.25 (Giving us 5 min to consume it as we had to leave the Hotel at 07.35 for a work appointment). Our fault for only having 30min ? Possibly but it wasn't busy and 25 min does seem a long time.

This is a shame - as all the staff throughout the hotel were friendly and helpfull, the setting is perfect and the rooms are extreemly well provisioned and comfortable. Would stay again.
