We stayed one night en route to Lesotho and were delighted with this warm and friendly bed and breakfast. Pat, one of the owners, made us feel very welcome and produced a fantastic evening meal and excellent breakfast. Would definitely recommend

I had the pleasure to stay one night at Peacehaven Guest House after being recommended to stay there by a business acquaintance.
I found the rooms spacious and well appointed. Breakfast was a enjoyable and the conversation was pleasant.
I would stay at Peacehaven again.

Delicious diner and breakfast.
Spacious and clean room. Beautiful view. Very good stopover when driving from east london to Drakensbergen or Durban.

Nice homely accommodation and excellent home cooked food. Would definitely recommend as place for accommodation to others. Was pestered by mosquitoes in the night, but nothing that was too bad. Rooms neat, safe environment.

The name says it all. PEACEhaven. Very neat, clean and extremely peaceful. We were greeted by our hosts on Friday the 14th of February (Valentines day) and were treated to a superb meal. Than you, it was special!

On our three week driving tour all over South Africa we often found ourselves in some out of the way places. Peacehaven was an absolute gem of a find. We had a long drive between the Drakensburg and Grahamstown and took a chance on Peacehaven. It is aptly named! When we arrived, the six of us (three couples) were given the choice of several beautiful rooms, all unique, comfortable and quiet. We were then provided with tea and biscuits on the beautiful veranda overlooking a pastoral scene where we watched the sun set. We had arranged to have dinner at the B&B which I highly recommend as Kokstad doesn’t seem to have many interesting restaurants and it would be a bit of a drive to get to any of them. We were given an absolutely amazing meal for an incredibly reasonable price – we all agreed that we felt as though we were having a holiday feast! Our hosts Pat and James Kotting were gracious and interesting to visit with.

The rooms were all very comfortable and clean, each with special touches. The common rooms were warm and welcoming. The breakfast was huge! We especially enjoyed the canine companionship (outside). We made all of our reservations online from home months earlier but they were ready for us when we arrived. A wonderful place to stay – very quiet and relaxing.

Room Tip: All the rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet.
