Enjoyed 2 nights stay stopped over on the way to Durban and then on the return too, wonderful friendly hosts. Excellent food, and a lovely setting. Easy to find and close to the meander. Can highly recommend.

I booked at Peacehaven based on the reviews on this site, and am pleased to report that we were in no way disappointed. Welcoming hosts (including friendly dogs), lovely spacious and clean rooms, magnificent views and fantastic food, Peacehaven was all that the reviews had promised. All of these factors combined presented all 3 generations of our party with a fabulous rest stop which we will certainly visit again, and which I have no hesitation in recommending (and in fact, have already done so).

We wanted to stop somewhere on the way from the Wildcoast to the Northern Drakensberge. It was a very good idea to do a overnight at Peacehaven. The farm is a short dirt road ride off the main road. The drive up to Underberg is a very nice drive with stunning scenery. The homemade dinner was phenomenal. Highly recommend it.

We were warmly welcomed by Robert, who took us to our cosy room under thatch ceiling. Lovely room with all the comforts including great linen and big fluffy towels. Lots of attention to detail within a homely atmosphere. Lovely lounge area for pre dinner drinks. Supper was the best I have ever had in a B&B. Homemade tomato soup, wonderfully hot, served with home made bread. this was followed by roast lamb, roast potatoes and 3 veggies. absolutely delicious and very well presented. Pudding was lemon cake with cream and lemon zest - a perfect ending. Robert & his wife Kit were very hospitable and friendly but at the same time professional in their attention. We immediately booked to come back during the Open Gardens weekend in November. A perfect start to our holiday. Highly recommended. Doesnt get much better than this

Room Tip: We stayed in the 'big' room - the honeymoon suite I think! Absolutely lovely.

This was the third stop on our trip after leaving Lady Grey. We had a beautiful drive through Jouberts pass on the bikes - what gorgeous countyside!! The rest of the tar roads on the way were in good condition. We arrived quite late and in the dark, but no problem finding it. It is out of town on a large property so nice and quiet. Dirt road to the guest house, but not bad. We were greeted by the friendly dogs first, then the hosts. We were welcomed in and shown to our rooms. Our room was under thatch - lovely, and the bathroom was huge with a shower and bath. All very clean and comfortable. Even though it was freezing outside, we were warm and cosy in our room. The verandah downstairs is huge and has a view of the mountains which is beautiful. We did not eat in the evening, but our breakfast in the morning was delicious and made to order - eggs as you like them - nothing too much trouble. I would have no hesitation in recommending this lovely guest house to anyone passing though Kokstad.

Stayed for one night to break the journey from the Drakensberg to East London. Very welcoming hosts who provided excellent dinner and breakfast, and were very helpful in advising best route to take to East London.
