“24 Carrot Gold!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 12, 2014

Our vacation was like a great piece of jewelry. You love it, you admire it, you feel good with it on and you never want to take it off!! Well - we loved our vacation so much - we had such great respect for the hard working staff, we felt so good each and every day and we did not want to leave....in a big way! Every day was wonderful and such a blessing. We felt very fortunate to be able to spend time in such exotic location. To be able to escape life for a week and have drinks on our patio and enjoy a beach that is truly one of a kind. We read all the reviews and 99% are outstanding....what more would you want! The food was very good, tasty and made with real care, the pool was great and very clean, the room was very nice but best of all the staff was so nice to be around. There was an issue when we arrived with the reservation but they git it fixed right away!

Thank you Infinity Bay!

Room Tip: it seemed any room was a good location. we don't like climbing stairs

My sister and I had a wonderful stay. The staff was all so nice and welcoming. Our rooms were so nice with a beautiful view of the garden. Very private and quiet. The grounds of the hotel are kept beautiful. We had something fun to do everyday we stayed here. We're definitely coming back soon. Thanks Tom for making us feel at home.

Stayed at Infinity Bay at the end of July 2014. We chose this location because we are devoted snorkelers and heard so many good things about the reef. I was so impressed with the size of the reef (it spanned at least 3 properties), the density and variety of healthy coral, and the ease of access. It ranged from 5-15 feet in most areas, some places were deeper and some more shallow. We snorkeled the reef every day and were really impressed.

I have a lot of other detail to cover so I apologize in advance for the length of this review.
We rode the Infinity Bay shuttle from the airport to the resort and it was a large size, fairly new, well air-conditioned shuttle that held about 25 people. It was about a 30 minute ride to the resort.
About 2 miles from the airport, there is a large modern grocery store (the largest on the island) called Eldon's. Their meat and produce looked very good and they had a good selection of staples. They did carry liquor, but a very limited selection of rum, tequila, scotch...I did not see Vodka there. There is a very small grocery store within walking distance to Infinity Bay and they also had a small selection of liquor, including Vodka, at about the same price as Eldon's. Since the shuttle does not stop at Eldon's we ended up taking a taxi from the resort which cost $20.00 each way. Next time, we will take a taxi from the airport to the resort and have them stop at Eldons, but take the shuttle on our return to the airport when we leave since it is free. If you do not plan on cooking in your kitchen, the small store right by the resort is sufficient. It closes by 6:00pm, just FYI.

The rooms at the resort were very spacious and modern. They use Tommy Bahama furniture that looked pretty new. The upholstery on the sofa was worn, but it looked like it was due to washing the covers. Our room was very clean. We had a 1BR 2 bath which was about 1100 sq. feet. It overlooked the pool. I would have given Infinity Bay a "5" but there were some minor issues that affected the rating. The power went out many times during our stay, not for long, but enough to trip a circuit breaker to the AC which would make us have to reset the breaker to get the AC to cool properly. Our coffee maker was broke and it took a couple of times to get one that would work. It also took us asking for extra towels 3 times before we received them. If you got to the beach after noon, they were usually out of beach towels. However, there were always enough chairs at the beach and at the pool whenever we went out, not always in the shade, but at least they were available. The pool, the beach and the water were all beautiful and the rooms that face the pool are very close to the beach. We were in a room at the back of the pool and we were about 100 steps from the beach. Infinity Bay has an empty property beside their resort which the Cruise Ships use. On Wed. and Thurs. we saw 100-300 people show up that pretty much took over the ocean area. We learned to snorkel early and do our excursions during the day, but return to the beach around 3:00pm when most of the people were gone. There is a nice little dive shop on site at the resort that has 3 dive trips a day and they will let snorkelers join if desired. They had an entire calendar of the different dive sites they would visit and you could pick and choose various locations. As a snorkeler, a one hour trip was only $20.00. We did this one day, really enjoyed it, but still liked the Infinity Bay reef better. You can rent snorkel gear from the resort as well.
The resort has an indoor breakfast restaurant but all other food is served outside at the beach area. There is a pool bar near the outdoor restaurant and their prices were very good. A run and Coke is only $4.00. The breakfast buffet was good and the food at the beach restaurant was OK but nothing to really write about. Most people take the water taxi to West End to eat ($3.00 per person each way). There are also a few other resorts down the beach where you can grab lunch or dinner. If you decide to take a taxi to or from West End at night it is $15.00 each way, so take that into consideration if you decide to go that route. We at Oasys, which was rated very high but I would rate it as Good. The mosquitos and flying bats at night made the meal uncomfortable. We ate at Luna Maya at the Princess Maya resort down the beach and it was Very Good with exceptional service, but a bit pricey for Honduras. The best meal we ate was at the Lighthouse in West End. Their seafood was very fresh, the variety of menu items was excellent, the view looking over the water was spectacular and the service was top notch. It was not air conditioned, but most of the restaurants on West End weren't However, because we were on the water, it was not too warm. I would choose this restaurant over the Argentina Grill since the Grill had an open cooking pit that made the place pretty warm.
We loved our stay at Infinity Bay in spite of the few minor inconveniences. The staff is very gracious, considerate and kind. Even though there were times when service was slow, most of the time, they were very responsive and fast. We will definitely return to this resort.

You can scuba or snorkel on this beach. The reef is amazing! The hotel is nice but the service not so much. We booked months in advance and ended up with a parking lot view. We asked to be moved, they agreed for $80 more per night and since we were staying a week it would've cost too much money. Our other party booked last minute and got a nice view for the same amount of money we spent. One night the AC went out, they sent someone but were unable to fix it so they got us another condo with a nice pool view so we were aloud to sleep there for only that night. The next day they fixed the AC and we had to go back to our parking lot view. We asked to speak to a manager to see if they could let us stay in the one we spent the night due to the inconvenience. The manager never contacted us so we had to stay in our old one. Also, we were over charged from a staff driver $100 to take us to the west bay for 3 hours. We thought it had been too much money since it was a short drive and we have been to mexico's beaches and never paid this much for a taxi. When I got back to the hotel I called the lobby and asked for their fairs and they quoted $45 for 3 hours and $65 for 8! We complained about the overcharge and nothing was done about it. My sister in law's watch and sandals were stollen from her condo too!
The food is good but since they don't have a closed restaurant for lunch or dinner we had to fight the flies constantly!

This was our second time to Infinity Bay. The beach snorkeling here cannot be beat. Such an abundance and variety of sea life. We had such a relaxing week and couldn't be happier with our decision to return. If you want a beautiful beach, great snorkeling and quiet laid back vacation, you can't go wrong with Infinity Bay.

Again we stayed at Infinity Bay and had the best time! It has the best location on the beach, the best bar and bartenders, a great pool and good food. We made great friends while there and Rick the manager will never steer you wrong. Sushi night is a treat, they have live music a few nights a week. The grounds are extremely safe. Kid friendly too. Can't wait to return!!

Infinity Bay is a large hotel with dated rooms. They are clean and spacious. We had a room overlooking the garden which I preferred as the pool was busy on weekends and it got noisy.
The beds are hard and the pillows are lumpy- definitely need new pillows and new couches!
The resort is clean and pretty on a beautiful reef. It is a generic hotel I. That you could be anywhere in the world when you are on the grounds. Nothing islandy about it!
The dive shop was great! People very helpful and lots of dives. There are about 30 dive shops in this area so the dives can be busy with boats. Less crowded diving up around Sandy Bay.
The food here is only average. The downfall is that the hotel is beside the empty beach reserved for cruise ships, so when they come On Wenesday/thurs. People flock to the beach and the area is very busy and noisy! Apparently it's worse in high season with many ships a day. While it is great business for the locals, it's not so great for the serenity of tourists. Also this hotel FILLS up on weekends with people from the mainland and it's super busy.
The beach is lovely, the dock is a busy one with water taxis, dive boats, snorkel tours, parasail and fishing boats. Lots to watch if you like action! If you don't.. Well it's too bad because it's there. Also many, many people trying to sell you items. They are great at walking away after you say no but there are many people to say no too. My mom said yes everyday to the man selling banana donuts :)
Overall, my stay was fine. Personally I prefer a smaller place with more character.
Roatan is a beautiful spot. It is safe, there is security everywhere! People are friendly. Brings LOTS of cash because outside the resort you need to pay cash for most every thing.
