Infinity bay is an awesome resort that has all the features you'd look for in Roatan. It is located on a fantastic stretch of sandy beach, and there is fantastic snorkeling just a few yards out. The restaurant food is ok, a bit pricey, but very convenient from the pool and beach, the waiters/service could use some improvement, but overall it was a fabulous experience.

Room Tip: Try to avoid the 4th floor, although the view is pretty good, the stairs are no fun unless your 20 y...

I travelled to this resort for my honeymoon. My husband and I made sure to book the upgrades and honeymoon package well in advance and stay in touch with hotel staff by email. But once we got there, things changed. Staff told us some of the things we were told (via email) were not actually included in our package, and we were surprised to find out that there was actually no spa on location. After five days of a two-week holiday back-and-forthing with staff and finally the manager, things were ironed out. The resort honoured the items we were told to expect and even went a little further to make it a great holiday. Rooms at Infinity Bay are great for people looking for an independent vacation and those who opt for the all-inclusive. I would recommend skipping the all-inclusive package if you are an experienced traveller. There are several condo owners looking to rent out their space. The food at this resort was excellent, like many places though it did get a little boring but luckily there are several great places to eat very close by. The staff is nice, but the service isn't quick so be patient. We expected a gym and spa (two of the main reasons we chose this place over others) but there are neither on site just yet. I would recommend this resort. It was clean, fun and the location on the island is great, there are also some regular dogs and cats roaming around. I recommend treating them with care and respect as all of the staff and the majority of the visitors do. I also recommend contacting Rick the manager if you do run into any problems; he's great at his job. Also, take a few extra crayons, pencil crayons and colouring books. There are a ton of really great kids who would sincerely appreciate the items in the area and we couldn't find any of those things at local stores.
Also, buy a banana doughnut. They are amazing.

Just completed a stay for 5 days and had a super time. My wife and I had some
fantastic chill time. This place is truly paradise - we have been all over the
Caribbean and warm feeling of this resort and the caring of the staff is the
best. The beach is one of a kind! We were never really snorkelers and haven't
done it in many years. This was the spot to re-kindle this activity. Can you say
amazing? We rented gear from Infinity Divers and its less than 50 feet off the
surf. I would recommend not renting gear from beach guys as I would question the
hygiene.......also stay away from the massage people walking up and down the
beach - you get what you pay for and it looked kind of gross.
The food was great and yes sometimes you have to wait a bit longer but what's
the rush - its not Toronto, its Roatan Honduras! Reality check
required...hahaha. The rooms were wonderful and housekeeping did a great job and
honestly everyone worked so hard and we were just so appreciative and blessed
to be there away from the freezing vortex.
We would recommend this hotel and island to anyone looking for a laid back,
relaxing vacation with all comforts you will ever need.

Room Tip: we stayed half down the rersort just beyond the pool and it was great!!!

Dear richard m,

Thanks for your review and your enthusiasm is greatly appreciated. Your review is well thought out and you make some excellent points to potential travelers. We recommend NOT getting a massage on the beach from the walking vendors. They are not trained and do not follow good sanitary procedures......not worth the discount.

Thanks again for your outstanding review and recommendation!

.... a place where we would return!

We recently returned home from an eight-day stay at Infinity Bay. There is really nothing to add to the stellar reviews we had read extensively before our departure, except for the following:

The reef at West Bay:

Take dive lights and lots of batteries so you can experience the reef at night. There is SO much more to see at night and we had incredible experiences with octopuses, a puffer the size of a pillow, etc.

Always choose reef-safe sunscreen.

The kitchen

We were really unsure what exactly would be in the kitchen and I hope this information might be helpful for those who plan to actually use their kitchens.

- take your own favorite knife or two from home (there were a few in our room (1306) but they were extremely dull, and really quite useless.

- no tin foil, saran wrap, etc. We bought some and left the remnants in our room.

- no condiments of any kind.

- no containers for storing leftovers.

- no pizza pans but two cookie sheets

- good collection of pots, pans, and frying pans with lids.

- one tea towel for the entire length of our stay. No dish cloth.

- dish soap in kitchen but we had to ask for dishwasher soap.

Washer/dryer

- These worked well but take your own soap along.

Other room supplies
- Blow dryer; yes.
- Shampoo, conditioner, body wash; yes.

Suggestions for Infinity Bay:
- put a broom and dust pan in each room.
- put a mat outside the room, to catch any sand left on feet/shoes.
- good screens on all windows would allow patrons to open windows and smell the ocean breeze (and save on your air conditioning expenses).

Breakfast (included with our package)
- Breakfast was adequate, really. A readily available list of ingredients would be a bonus (for those of us with food issues).

*** Tip the omelet guy, he works very, very hard. ***

Get out and walk down the beach, all the way to West End. Go in a group of at least two. The only negatives about this hike were the dogs at the chain link yard (apparently the mayor's yard) who will eat you through the fence if you get too close, and the stench around this yard. Otherwise, if you'd like a few hours of quiet, you will love this stretch of landscape.

The beach at IB is lovely, but really quite small (close to the water). The foot traffic can become unbearable and we ended up spending most of our time by the pool instead of by the water. We are ocean people and would usually never do this but the peddlers and walkers were seriously annoying after the first day.

The folks in the dive shop were outstanding, as in 10 stars. Serg; you have inspired our youngest kiddo to take his diving as far as he can!

I vacationed there the week of Feb24th. Everything on this island is small scale so if you are used to a very large resort with lots of dining options you might be disappointed. Having said that, the food was well done. They do need to pay a little more attention to small details-they run out of glasses and good wine if you are all inclusive. The snorkelling was amazing but if you get a chance do a tour with Bay Island tours. They have the boats with triple 200 motors.- It's pricey but well worth it. The final stop at pigeon key was amazing. It's a very small island surrounded by white sand. The staff was very friendly-Eldon at the beach bar and Darlon in the restaurant. I would definitely go back.

Beach and snorkeling were just amazing the best I have ever seen, and the pool was a plus for sure. The service at the beach bar could be iffy at times depending on the waiter that you had. I know about Island time, but to wait 30 - 40 minutes for our check one night was a little to much.

Now for the Condo itself #1104. It could use a little updating like screen doors (3) and widow screens (2) would have been nice so you could open it up. at night. The balconies: the front one over looking the pool and beach was big. It would have been nice to have a little more furniture on it just not a patio table with 4 chairs for lounging. The back one off the master bedroom had none at all. What is up with that? Otherwise I would give this condo a little above average.

If your looking for the best snorkeling and beach this is the place to stay.

What a find! My parents rented a 2 bed 2 bath condo at Infinity Bay, and it was perfect. Our group consisted of me, my boyfriend and my parents. The condo was well-appointed, spacious and clean. The best part? The beach was only steps away, and you an *easily* snorkel out to the reef. My favorite parts of the condo were: full kitchen, giant patio, and the washer and dryer. The pool is beautiful and warm, and the the trees surrounding it provide nice shade.

I only ate at the insdie restaurant twice for breakfast, and it was good. The waffles and omelette bar really stood out. I had dessert and lunch at La Palapa twice. I hate to say it, but both times the service was slow. Really slow. The staff was always friendly, and maybe they need to find a way to be a little more efficient.

When we called the front desk to ask for more towels they brought extras up right away.

Lastly, the beach. The beach is beautiful, the water is crystal clear and many different kinds of fish will swim right up to you. I really hope that Infinity Bay and other resorts work closely with the local government to preserve this beautiful reef and its aquatic life.
