“What more could you want at Infinity Bay resort!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2012

From the pickup at the airport to the return at the end of our vacation, Infinity was great.
Staff was friendly and helpful, rooms cleaned ever 3 days. The on site beach restaurant always had good food and service at a reasonable prices.

There was a good selection restaurant in the area prices from $6 to $40. Whether you want a burger or grilled lobster.

A few of our favourites in addition to Infinity Bay:

Smugglers far end of West Bay, Steaks, seafood, great nachos, Location is right on the water at the far end of West Bay.

Celeste West Bay Great dinner deal, 2 glasses of wine, shrimp cocktail, 2 lobster tails and desert $60 for 2

Vinage Pearl, West Bay, very nice, we had the steaks and they were excellent

Besos, West End, probably one of the nicest atmospheres, live music great food, good service

Fosters, West Bay has daily specials Thursdays is $12 lobster (2 tails and a side)

Eagle Rays bar and grill, West End great location out over the water food was good service was friendly

Lighthouse West End we had a couple of lunches good value, nice location on the water

Rotisserie Chicken West End, the place was packed really good chicken

Banana Mamas had the most live bands and entertainment, great spot to unwind at the end of the day.

This area is a well known for diving and snorkelling in clear blue water, the reef is second only to the great barrier.

Lots of other things to do, zip lines, iguana farm, rain forest near by and great beach walking for miles.

Room Tip: Room buildings start at 1 (at the water) to 20 furthest back

We spent one week in Sandy Bay (a quieter part of Roatan) so we decided to spend our second week in the middle of the action. When looking for places to stay in West Bay we noticed that Infinity Bay had rooms for 60% off so we decided to take advantage of the deal. For the special the rooms are great and the pool and beach out front are fantastic! We booked a studio suite which is dark and tiny (do not get at regular room rate, barely worth discounted rate) We then moved to a one bedroom suite with a full kitchen which is much better and worth the regular price. The resort is still building its indoor restaurant, spa, and lobby which I think will help round it out and make it a great resort once everything is complete.

Room Tip: Don't waste your money on a studio suite. They are not worth it!

Two friends and I went for a diving vacation and luckily found this place. We got the mac-daddy 3 bed penthouse for an amazing price. Top floor, ocean view, three large bedrooms with 3 bathrooms and 3 balconies. Place had a full kitchen we used mostly for a quick breakfast before diving and some lunches. There are MANY places within walking distance down the beach or a short water taxi ride into town for eats. Staff was nice though the only drawback was the cleaning. It was definitely spotty and inconsistent at times. Bar drinks were vacation-expensive but nothing to stop you from buying a bottle in a store. Overall a great experience and the diving, of course, was amazing. The snorkeling in front of the place could keep you occupied for hours. Photos on their website are accurate for the property.

Even though we live on the island, we took a weekend away at Infinity Bay and had a blast! The room was spotless, the service staff extremely attentive and friendly and the food was delicious. There is no doubt this the best place to stay on West Bay Beach and Roatan in general. Do not hesitate to book Infinity Bay--take it from a local gringo!

A beautifull concrete hotel... the beaches are extraordinary! Now the rooms are clean but it is amazing the maintenance the elevators have, most of them are broken we were afraid to use them, once one of them kind of exploded or made a noice that looked like. A round trip to the airport is included, only they do not tell you it is on their schedule, so we had to pay a cab or wake up at 5 am in the morning. Service was OK and food at the restaurant good.

Dear Lucia K
Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience at Infinity Bay. We apologize for your elevator not working and I can assure we have done a complete quality assurance of all 20 elevators at the resort. Happy to report all elevators are up and in running order.
The airport transfers we offer is a 24-hour service. We must be prepared to handle the needs of our guests traveling all over the world. After meeting with the reception staff it has been determined it was a training issue. We look forward to seeing you back in Roatan in the near future.

All the best!

Granted we stayed in their 3 bedroom 3 1/2 bath beachfront penthouse, but it was a super lodging experience. The double sea view balconies and 10 sinks and 4 toilets with a huge kitchen was perfect for our 3 generational family of 7. Everything worked, the air conditioning, the elevator and the linksys based internet(free) FOOD was very good but slow (Carribean time) in coming out of the kitchen. There was no construction noise and excellent housekeeping services. Beach was crowded on cruise ship days but a private security force actively discouraged non-belongers. Staff was very accomodating. A good experience. Place is beautiful and well kept. Unfortunately we did not have great weather for our stay but the activities available through the hotel kept both younger generations well amused. Good restaurants within walking distance.

Dear Sunsfanatic,

We greatly appreciate your review and how much you enjoyed one of our penthouse beachfront villas. The beaches do get busy on cruise days but we always have chairs and towel set-ups for all of our guests – this is our priority. Please reach out me personally next time your coming to Roatan and I will do my best to assist with the weather.....we have connections!

Again, thank you very much!

From December 26th. 2011 until January 03rd. 2012, I stayed with my family and a group of friends at Infinity Bay Spa and Resort and as on our previous visits the accommodations and the hotel services were according to what we expected. We stayed in a 1 bedroom unit,. No DVD player in the living room, and no TV in the bedroom (It´s necessary), 1 TV in the living room area (30" diag) is not enough. - No iPod connection, or sound system - Furniture in our living room was really worn. The room was spacious, clean and safe. This is a great place, but slightly above traditional spend.
Infinity Bay is the type of resort where the units are typically owned by individuals and rented via the resort or a management company. They have full, furnished kitchens and the general way people vacation here is to take a taxi to the grocery store, buy a bunch of groceries and cook/eat in the room for most of their meals. The resort is on a beautiful stretch of the West Bay beach which is one of the best, if not *the* best, place to snorkel on the island. We snorkeled almost every day and were blown away. We could swim 200 mts.. off the shore and the reef was only 20 feet below us and full of great sea life with crystal clear water. The down side is that the location is popular. The dive shop was great. Very accommodating to do special trips and the dive masters were very knowledgeable. The pool and grounds are well maintained and very nice
The resort restaurant is tiny (about 10 tables) and is on the beach. . If you sit at the pool/beach there aren't people walking by to take your order and bring you drinks and snacks. The menu is very limited and because it's small it can easily get backed up and take a long time.
The beach is beautiful with many restaurants walking distance from the condo, food is good and many places offer great entertainment at night.
But, the only problem I want to mention is that the hotel allows and accepts pets on the property, and we saw at least six different dogs that apparently live in the hotel or were “guests”, walking on the beach and near the restaurant and bar. The major problem is that the dogs crap on the sand and this produces a parasite called “ Ascariasis and a Cutaneous Larva Migrans” this condition results from infection of the human skin by the larvae of the dog and cat hookworm The Beaches and other moist sandy areas are common locations for infection. This larva.enters in your body through your bare foot. On this occasion, we saw a dog craping on the beach and we told the owner of the dog and and the security of the Hotel , but unfortunately nobody did not clean the area.
On a previous visit to the hotel, I suffered of this disease and I had to visit a doctor, who explained me that this was caused by this parasite, and he ordered me a treatment of “Ivermectin” to get rid of this parasite. The” Ivermectin” is a product used for the treatment of various parasite infections. It works by blocking to receptors in the body that lead to paralysis and death of the parasite. It is a serious matter, because if you don´t treat it properly, the larva can even host in your brain.
For this reason I think it would be a good idea to forbid the entrance of pets as “guests” at the hotel.
Roatan is a pretty raw, undeveloped island with poor infrastructure. This bodes well for the natural experiences such as the diving and snorkeling which are absolutely amazing - even just walking off the hotel's beach we found unbelievable snorkeling and my scuba trips never took more than 15 minutes to arrive via boat. However, in terms of amenities surrounding the natural beauty, it's unimpressive.

Room Tip: Near the Beach, Buildings 1 to 7 and 10 to 17, Second floor with 2 bedrooms. Do not use a adult a...
