West Bay Beach is a safe, beautiful place to snorkel, swim, and walk. The snorkeling is outstanding. Walk down to Infinity Bay and go in from there--you can follow the channels out and the reef and marine life will astound you! We've been on the island 5 times--this last time we saw massive barracudas, trunk fish, a pretty big turtle...on past trips, we've seen rays, flounders, etc. Always something to catch your eye. I'd recommend wearing a scuba skin, only because there are sea lice that can sting (it's irritating more than harmful, but the skin will keep you from getting sunburned as well). Please respect the reef and don't touch/kick it, so that it's there to visit for years to come--and enjoy this amazing natural beauty!!
