Happened upon this place strictly by accident. We were on the Carnival Magic which had some kind of problem during the night and for some reason had to dock at another part of the island. We had initially planned for it to be a "free" beach day at the Carnival man made beach where the Magic usually docks which I read reviews that were up and down about the place. We got off the ship looking for a way to the beach. There were several counters offering excursions. I walked toward the end and one guy asked me what we were looking for, I said the Carnival Beach. He said he could take us round trip for $20 a piece, and then said he could take us to a better beach for the same price, I asked where he said West Bay, I had seen the reviews for West Bay and they were all good. We loaded up into a mini van with two other groups and off we went. The driver and guide promised to take us sightseeing and shopping after the beach. To make a long story short, the sightseeing and the shopping were a total waste of time, but the beach and club were fantastic. Our guide stayed with the group to make sure our needs were met and it was one the best parts of our cruise. We did have to pay another $10 per person to enter but it was well worth it. Note. we did arrive early and as people who left the ship latter and tried to figure out what to do since many excursions were cancelled. some showed up here later and seating and shade on the beach itself became scarce.

Nice staff, the location right on the beach, one of the best Seafood soup and Ceviche we had. You can lay on beds, resting, having their nice food and drinks.

I recently visited The Beach Club at San Simon and can honestly say they serve the best Seafood soup on west bay and one of the best on the entire island. The conch fritters are also quite good and their lobster enchiladas are delicious. They have very fair prices and the locale is very South Beach (Miami). The atmosphere is very relaxing and it's right on the beach. Cocktails are good and the beer is cold! Staff was very friendly and attentive. One of my favorite places in West Bay!

We spend a lovely afternoon at this beach front resort while visiting Roatan as part of our cruise of the Western Caribbean. The beach is spectacular and the amentites at the resort were just great for a day visit. We had nachos and beer all afternoon while we lay in the warm water and watched the little fish at our feet through our snorkel masks.

Ate there while staying at the Mayan princess. Very cool! Huge bar. Lots of lounge areas. Can get busy on cruise days, but the night is where its at there.
