“Great little restaurant”

Great rustic little restaurant right on the beach. Food was good. We enjoyed the crab races. Music was really enjoyable and they had fire dance performers. Definitely recommend this place.

“Just OK”
Reviewed October 31, 2013

The thirsty turtle, is part of Bananarama resort. The establishment as a whole is set up nicely. I agree with other reviewers, this is a no frills type place. The food is basic. My Boyfriend had a burger here, and he commented that it didn't have much flavor. I had a chicken wrap, that also didn't have much flavor and was slimy. Both of these items came with fries OR tortilla chips with salsa. The service is quick, and the waiters are nice. My only complaint here is some conversations we heard from the waiters. I could here them talking about unprofessional things at a level that was disturbing my meal. Personal conversations about what you do on your down time, "smoking" (and I'm not talking cigarettes) and sexual innuendos is quite inappropriate. The bar is right in front of the beach, and you has a lovely view. You can identify their staff members by their shirts, they wear colored polo shirts that say "Bananarama". They do accept credit cards, make sure your purchase is at least $10.00 in order to use your credit card.

“Great location, great food and great drinks”
Reviewed October 22, 2013

The Thirsty Turtle has a great food and drink menu and some of the best service (Great Waiters every time). Be sure to try the drink Monkey La La! We ate here three times during our week on the island. My husband enjoyed the fish dishes and I enjoyed the wood fired pizza. The location is perfect and if you like NFL they have a Projection Screen TV out in the water - you cant beat that!

“Pretty good bar/beach food”
Reviewed October 22, 2013

Just saying that it is good for what it is, don't expect it to knock your socks off with its quality of food. I would recommend the fish tacos, very nice. Warning for cruise ship days, very busy but still workable.
