“Fine for lunch.”
Reviewed March 29, 2013

The service was somewhat slow and the food was nothing spectacular. Our friends ordered the fish sandwich and enjoyed it. The vegetarian curry was disappointing.

“Best service so far in West Bay”
Reviewed March 20, 2013 via mobile

Great location just off the beach, overlooking the eels. Dinner and a show. Service was fast and friendly. Food simple but tasty. Best was the pineapple seabass.

“Free Entertainment Overlooking the Ocean”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

Although I did not eat at this restaurant/bar, am told by friends who spend months at a time on Roatan that the food is delicious. Our mission at Bite on the Beach was a cocktail stop and hopes of viewing the famous resident eels. The personable and friendly bartender went through painstaking detail and care to make the most delicious mojito I have ever enjoyed -- ever! He then moved on to the drink orders for the rest of our group.
A college aged girl working at the bar, waited until we all had our cocktails before coaxing the eels out of their habitat below with pieces of fish thrown from above. Although it was night, below in the ocean, lights from above clearly illuminated the eels. The 5-foot eel was considered "the small one". After about 5 minutes we were paid a surprise visit by an eagle ray, flying over the water in the dark, the light color of its underwings flashing in the night. It was a GREAT show!
The staff was very kind to let us stay on the deck as they left for the evening. One last employee waited behind to close the gates after we had finished our round of drinks. When we walked in the bartender could have told us they were just closing, but they graciously accommodated our group.
We loved Roatan and will return to check out Bite on the Beach's menu and enjoy another fabulous mojito.

“The View from the Porch”
Reviewed February 28, 2013

We walked down the beach to hang out here. The "porch" had four nice adirondack chairs perfect for watching the sea go by while sipping on your favorite cocktail.
