History JavaVine was purchased as a turn-key business on April 4th 2011, when it had previously been operating for 4 years as the Cool Beans Coffee House. The new owners, Wyonna & Quentin (with their now infamous schnauzer Jasper, who can be seen almost daily swimming in the ocean along West Bay Beach), finished a 3 1/2 week renovation in February 2012, and re-opened with a brand new look, an expanded menu, and extended hours to include a cool new Wine Bar & Lounge with light Tapas, in a chill, relaxed environment with soothing tunes. It was at that time the coffee shop became known as JavaVine Cafe & Wine Bar!

“Great coffee shop”
Reviewed March 9, 2014

this little coffee shop was right across the street from West Bay Lodge and a two minute walk down the road from Bananarama. It had great coffee and half-and-half (neither of which West Bay Lodge had- sorry Celeste and Milo but your coffee is awful). But it also opened at 7:30 am (great for early birds- breakfast at West Bay Lodge doesn't start until 8 in theory, and in practice doesn't really start until 8:30), has awesome sweets (carrot cake was great), and excellent iced tea and iced coffee. We didn't use the wine bar much, but they had great events (tapas night), and were really quick, unusual in Roatan. Residents come here. Highly recommended.

“Great service - great menu!”
Reviewed March 8, 2014

We stayed at the West Bay Lodge right across the street from Java Vine. We went there a few times a day for coffee, iced coffee, iced teas and carrot cake/pastries. Everything was great and the service was great too. There is wifi and plenty of seating inside and outside. I don't drink coffee, but the other members of my party drank it almost every day there and loved it. I drank the unsweetened iced teas a few times each day, and thought they tasted great. They have a lot of delicious drinks, including some with alcohol and coffee. I had the chocolate chip cookies which were pretty good, and a bunch of people in my party ate the carrot cake several times and loved it.

“Good coffee, staff and location”
Reviewed March 5, 2014

A someone who lives in a small city, in North America- the morning ritual of going for a coffee on days off is hard to break. Luckily, friends of ours who had visited Roatan in the past let us know about this place. So, while on vacation I could enjoy the simple pleasure of going for a jog, grabbing something to eat and heading out the door for a delicious cup of coffee. This place is clean, comfortable and interesting people are always coming and going. It's a wonderful little place.
