History JavaVine was purchased as a turn-key business on April 4th 2011, when it had previously been operating for 4 years as the Cool Beans Coffee House. The new owners, Wyonna & Quentin (with their now infamous schnauzer Jasper, who can be seen almost daily swimming in the ocean along West Bay Beach), finished a 3 1/2 week renovation in February 2012, and re-opened with a brand new look, an expanded menu, and extended hours to include a cool new Wine Bar & Lounge with light Tapas, in a chill, relaxed environment with soothing tunes. It was at that time the coffee shop became known as JavaVine Cafe & Wine Bar!

Who knew that a coffee shop could make such incredible pizza? There are several very good pizza places in West Bay, but this is the best. Grab a pizza and a Port Royal Beer, and you will be in heaven. Oh, the regular coffee shop stuff looked good, also. What was also cool was that a bunch of locals hung out at the coffee shop, so it was interesting to listen in to what was going on with them.

Love the Javavine. Best iced latte on the island. Sandwiches were delicious as are the baked goods. I travel to Roatan every few months and I never miss stopping in several times. Wyonna and Quentin and great people and always make me feel welcome when I stop in. Love the place, and will see you guys next week. Lynda

One stop in this chic, warm and friendly coffee/wine bar, and you'll want to return at least a few more times during your stay. Oh, and the coffee? Hands-down, the best I've ever had. It's one of the cleanest establishments in the area, and the atmosphere makes you want to linger longer than you planned...it's just lovely. For an ice-cold treat in the Roatan heat, get an iced coffee -- they make the ice cubes from frozen coffee -- something I'm going to try at home. I didn't try the wine, but I'm sure with Wyonna's taste, it's gotta be delicious, too. Of course, they have other things, like beer, croissants, bagels, breads, sandwiches and more. Just try it...you'll be back for more! They do sell their delicious coffee by the pound, and I would have bought more than three pounds if my luggage would have been able to stand the increased weight, but Wyonna said they're looking into how they might be able to ship it. Mmm-mmm-good!
