“New Year Retreat”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 31, 2008

We wanted to get away from it for New Year with some friends, and this was definitely the place to do it.

Tucked away, but not too far off the beaten track. A haven of peace and quiet, but only 10 minutes from the M62.

The rooms were warm and cosy and the bed was huge and so comfortable it is beyond words. The best night's sleep that I have had in a long time. Breakfast the next morning was definitely worth getting up for though.

The owners were very helpful and friendly and made our children feel at home. we could not fault anything.

Well worth another visit.

Stayed with my wife and children for the New Year to be close to friends. Didn't really know what to expect given the price, but wow, what value for money....it's fantastic, a real credit to the owners who clearly have sweated blood and tears to create a B&B of this quality.

It's easy to find, parking is good and the location peaceful and friendly. The owners are very welcoming and the breakfast really good with lots of choice, even for the children.

The rooms were impossibly clean (you can see your face in the shower cubicle!) and of an impeccable standard of finish. The beds were comfy too - so much so I wanted to take my home. I couldn't fault anything - it's top notch; the Cherry on the Cake so to speak.

I'll definitely be back.

My wife and I needed 2 nights accomodation for Christmas Eve and Christmas night (2007). We were visiting our son and his family, who live just a few miles away from Cherry Clough.

To cut a long story short, we stumbled across this establishment. Space was available for our dates. We finally got to meet (at some length) both owners and their children on the Boxing day morning over a full English breakfast. They were a delightful hardworking couple who'd built and designed this B&B accomodation establishment.

Our room was well equipped (with digi T.V. and Hot drinks fascilities), very clean, with a lovely large comfortable bed, overlooking the beautiful scenic Saddleworth Moor. The large exposed oak-beamed trusses in the ceiling structure, gave our room a cosy, traditional feel.

As an occasional contributor to Tripadviser, I hope my review gives a fair summary for the owners Mr & Mrs Hall, and potential visitors to Cherry Clough Farm.
