“A very relaxing day out for the whole family”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 27, 2014

We went here with another family (4 adults and 5 children in total) and spent a VERY restful and enjoyable day. The kids had loads to do - rope swings, den building, pond dipping and generally running around doing all the things that children should be doing. The adults found a shady spot and sat around chatting all day in the certain knowledge that the kids were safe. An absolute gem of a place - you MUST go here!

“Lovely even on a wet day...”

Great place for young kids, duck racing in the rain, beautiful setting and great tea room.... Recommended if you want an active, outdoors day.

“Peace!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 14, 2014

A beautiful walled garden which was delightful to look round was the first stop in this visit. This was followed by a long walk through the woodland towards Amroth beach. Yet another beautiful Pembroke beach, lots of sand and sea. There were places to stop and buy food and drink and other odds and ends along the sea front. Then we walked back up a steep hill which led to the path back towards the National Trust gardens.
The tea shop were selling delicious cream teas with warm scones and raspberry jam which seemed to be home made and again really delicious.

“What a beautiful setting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 7, 2014

Colby Woodland Gardens are set in a stunning location. There is a walled garden, tea rooms, walking trails, and a shop outlet. There is even a weekly free of charge timed 5K Parkrun every Saturday at 0900 with Marshals and route arrows. Car parking appeared to be free of charge, and there is an overflow car park for peak times. The WC facilities are spotless. The walks and environment appear to be very well maintained. All in all an enjoyable experience.

TIPS: (1) visit the tea rooms that are located adjacent to the walled garden, (2) walk the circular route on the path around the meadow, and (3) don't forget your camera

“Lovely day out”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 6, 2014

The gardens and woodland walks are beautiful without being too formal. There is plenty of space for children to run about. The best thing of all is the food at the restaurant which was fabulous. The staff were all friendly and helpful.
Word of warning - dont rely on your satnav to find it by using the postcode as we ended up down a very narrow dirt track leading to someone's garden. The attraction is well signposted and easy to find if you ignore the satnav.
