Through an error my booking for a night for my wife and myself ended up being on the wrong month (21st Feb instead of 21st march). I didn't realise until getting an email on the 25th feb asking if we'd enjoyed our stay!? Tried to contact the bookings team to explain why we'd not arrived (because we'd not even realised the error) and to ask if we could transfer it to 21st march. I was told "no, you booked, and didn't turn up and if you want to come in march then you have to pay again". I then tried to speak to management, waiting on several occasions for return calls that never materialised. After two days was eventually told "we've checked with the bookings team (!?) and we can't do anything - you'll have to pay again". We basically paid £89 for nothing. We can't afford to book another night so our wedding anniversary will be a disappointment. Would love to have tried the hotel as we've never been before but don't know if I will in the future now, considering the uncaring, abrupt attitude we experienced. JH, Wakefield.
