If you happen to visit Manitoulin Island in Ontario you MUST eat here. It's in a hamlet called Manitowaning. Looks uninspiring from the outside and like no more than a regular small town bar inside but the food (prepared by the chef/proprietor) is AMAZING - absolutely world class. First night I had duck stew with wild chanterelles served over lentils. One of the most exquisite things I have ever eaten. The following night I had an outstanding seafood Paella. These dishes cost a little over $20 - fantastic value. The menu changes daily. Highly recommended. Its a long way from anywhere so stay at the Friends motel, just up the road, which I can only describe as the Ritz of the motel world.
