“Awesome Winter Experience”
Reviewed January 4, 2014 via mobile

Having stayed here twice now I can say without a doubt that a visit to Nature's Harmony is a unique experience. We stayed in the Mayan Chalet in the winter both times. Once you park your car at the main lodge it is a 5 minute walk to the Chalet with the option of having your gear brought in by snowmobile. Very peaceful and secluded!
The chalet is huge. Could easily sleep several couples or a group. Note that there is no plumbing in the chalet. There is an indoor composting toilet and spring water via blue jugs for drinking and dishes. As long as u keep the wood stove stoked you will be nice and warm but be prepared to get up once during the night when it is cold out.
We went for a beautiful snowshoe along the Harmony Ridge trail, returning along the road. The xc ski trails were well signed and had more of a backcountry feel with limited grooming and some steep hills. This gives more of a feeling of exploring which we loved.
The woodfired sauna was a great way to relax our muscles and the owners are very welcoming and aim to please.
We will be going back!

We stayed in the Ma’ayan Chalet and loved it! We felt adventurous being 'off the grid' - solar power, compost toilets, no cell - but had enough luxuries - propane fridge and stove, wood already cut for outdoor fires, etc. - that it was hardly roughing it!

Lots of trails for biking or walking, and a short walk to a beautiful swimming spot. We're looking forward to coming back to try the winter activities, and maybe one of the other cabins or the Yurt!

We booked their glamping site for a weekend this past July and really enjoyed it. The property is beautiful and secluded and very quiet. We especially liked the solitude as we live in Toronto and sometimes the city gets to be a little too much. The site itself (the tent, screen house) was perfect. We walked to the bay and took one of the canoes out, we hiked around the property and we just relaxed. Really nice. I would definitely recommend it.
