We moved to Clairac in September and were chuffed to find such a great restaurant in this small town. The ambience is lovely, the welcome and service are excellent and the food is delicious.
My wife first went with some girlfriends and came back raving about it, so the next time we had visitors and I was able to arrange a babysitter, we went along with friends. We asked if madame could book us a cab home so we could enjoy a drink, but it was a bank holiday and none we're available. So, she offered to drive us home after our meal! Now, that is good service! There's a piano in the restaurant with a sign welcoming diners who can play to have a go - she encouraged me to play it: apologies to other diners that night!
Since then, we have been back at a lunchtime too, with the kids. The food has always been excellent, and madame is always so welcoming - she speaks a fair bit of English, but is happy to indulge you if you want to practice your French.
There are two 3-course set menus (19 euros and 26 euros)and then a la carte - each time there has always been a small Amuse Bouche before the starter, which is a lovely touch too.
