“The best little place ever!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 16, 2012

I've read all the great reviews that people have written here about Panorama -Sakis Sarah and families. And it's all true. My husband and I could live there! And maybe one day we will stay for a few months when we retire and hope that sakis hasn't retired as well. Maybe we could get a job tending the gardens!
Our last trip July 11 certainly didn't disappoint. My husband decided he wanted to spend his 60th birthday right there at Panorama right there at the outdoor tables overlooking the bay. 20 other friends and family made the journey from Australia New Zealand and England to share this occasion. Sakis did a lamb on the spit and Greek salads and bread. And of course plenty of retsina and beers.!It was the best birthday party. Staying there altogether meant that we could meet up with all our friends at breakfast and throughout each day and whatever we decided to do for the day. We rented little cars there so were able to drive around this beautiful island with first handlocal knowledge from Sakis as where best to go away from the madding crowds.
We hope you are well Sakis Sarah and Anita and you have a good season ahead. Have no doubts we will return probably with another mob of people!
For anyone reading this - think about celebrating an event with a group of friends staying in a friendly beautiful and reasonably priced holiday venue.

Room Tip: Most of the rooms face the sea and have a balcony with table and chairs.

This is a very nice smaller family hotel up on a hill above Dassia Bay offeríng a variety of rooms and appartments. You have a great view on the bay and you are staying in a peaceful quiet location. The hotel consists of several buildings, among them a lovely bar/restaurant structured like a "winter garden" with large windows and a very charming terrace, where you will be served breakfast or dinner when the weather permits. The large swimming pool is just adjacent. All these premises are in a park-like area with meadows and trees. Ideal for kids, who find lots of space for running around and playing.
The owners, father and daughter, offer great hospitality- and what is particularly interesting - a pretty good breakfast and very fine dinners at a really reasonable price. They serve (of course home made) Italian and Greek dishes with excellent local wine from Corfu for dinner. So, there is no need to go out for eating in the evening, but if you like you can easily find other places down on the main road of Dassia within a walking distance of 300-500m.
The rooms have a fair size, include a kitchenette and en-suite facilites with WC and shower. The matresses were very good - perhaps a bit hard, but this is much better than being too soft. The room terrace with view on the bay had a good size.
All in all: an excellent choice if you are visiting Corfu and if you want to spend a relaxing time there. Corfu City is close (ca 10km) and the North of the island offers beautiful places to visit within a rather short drive. The owners also offer to rent cars from them.
Would definitely go back there again!

This was an outstanding place to relax and to use as a base for exploring the island. We enjoyed a beautiful view from the balcony of the apartment over the Bay. We stayed 4 nights, but with more time it would have been nice to sit there in the evening with a jug of local wine. Although there were cooking facilities in the apartment, the food that was served in the restaurant and the view it facilitated were much too good to miss. Although the menu was not extensive, the traditional Greek dishes were superb and were great value. To add to the enjoyment of this was the informal, open and friendly service offered by Sakis, the host and his family. When his granddaughter had her birthday we were offered some of her birthday cake. These spontaneous gestures were a feature of our stay. If our children were still young this would offer even more; with the gardens and pool providing great places to play.
We were not looking for the kind of facilities to be found in a 5 star Hotel, but the apartment we had was very comfortable and clean. It is tiled and airy, ideal for not worrying about coming straight in from the gardens and pool: Much more conducive to an active holiday than having to march through hotel corridors. The shower water took a while to warm up as the hot water is heated by solar panels and had to travel some distance to our apartment. Not a problem once you are aware.
Brilliant, would definitely want to stay here again if returning to Corfu.

My wife and I stayed at Panorama Hideaway in June and loved it!

Fantastic hospitality, a fantastic view out over the ocean and exactly what we were looking for: A relaxed place to stay, somewhere friendly and away from the major hotels.

Sakis gave us some great tips about sights to see and places to eat, organised a jeep for us and was amazingly helpful.

I miss the laid back pace, the quiet early morning coffee by the pool and we are already looking forward to coming back again!

i stayed at this hotel apartment for 8 nights in september. it was a really relaxing place, off the main road up the hill . the hill is pretty steep and not ideal for older travellers, especially due to the hot climate, but good exercise otherwise! it's only 5 minutes' walk up the hill but still a good workout.
however, well worth the effort as the staff are really friendly and cant do enough for you, and the reward is a very peaceful setting with a quiet pool area and a great view over the corfu bay.

Room Tip: higher floors have better views

We stayed here in August when you would expect it to be really busy- not here though . On some occassions we even had the swimming pool to ourselves.Where to begin!!! We stayed in an apartment which was part of a beautiful villa tucked away in the most amazing gardens. The accommadation was lovely but could perhaps do with an update in the bathroom. The hotel itself is in a beautiful spot overlooking the bay of Dassia- having lunch on the terrace is an experience we shall not forget- especially the delicious omelettes (Sakis speciality!!) The owners are fantastic , Sarah who had 2 daughters even encouraged them to play with our own daughter - unfortunately she's painfully shy and didn't really respond - but thank-you anyway Sarah!! All in all - if you are looking for peace and tranquillity with amazing views and incredible hospiltality then this is the place for you. THANK YOU Sarah and Saki!
