“Fantastic stay”
Reviewed September 27, 2011

My wife and I stayed at Panorama Hideaway in June and loved it!

Fantastic hospitality, a fantastic view out over the ocean and exactly what we were looking for: A relaxed place to stay, somewhere friendly and away from the major hotels.

Sakis gave us some great tips about sights to see and places to eat, organised a jeep for us and was amazingly helpful.

I miss the laid back pace, the quiet early morning coffee by the pool and we are already looking forward to coming back again!

i stayed at this hotel apartment for 8 nights in september. it was a really relaxing place, off the main road up the hill . the hill is pretty steep and not ideal for older travellers, especially due to the hot climate, but good exercise otherwise! it's only 5 minutes' walk up the hill but still a good workout.
however, well worth the effort as the staff are really friendly and cant do enough for you, and the reward is a very peaceful setting with a quiet pool area and a great view over the corfu bay.

Room Tip: higher floors have better views

We stayed here in August when you would expect it to be really busy- not here though . On some occassions we even had the swimming pool to ourselves.Where to begin!!! We stayed in an apartment which was part of a beautiful villa tucked away in the most amazing gardens. The accommadation was lovely but could perhaps do with an update in the bathroom. The hotel itself is in a beautiful spot overlooking the bay of Dassia- having lunch on the terrace is an experience we shall not forget- especially the delicious omelettes (Sakis speciality!!) The owners are fantastic , Sarah who had 2 daughters even encouraged them to play with our own daughter - unfortunately she's painfully shy and didn't really respond - but thank-you anyway Sarah!! All in all - if you are looking for peace and tranquillity with amazing views and incredible hospiltality then this is the place for you. THANK YOU Sarah and Saki!

My wife and I joined some friends for a weeks holiday at Panorama Hideaway. We have stayed in various hotels and resorts in Corfu and Greece in general but the warmth of the hospitality by Sakis Sarah and little Angela were unequalled. The view of the ocean and across to Albania and down to Corfu town were fantastic to be able to eat a meal or relax over a few drinks with that view was superb. It is worth including breakfast in the fare as you can eat heaps and it is delicious. The pool is ideal for lying around and cooling off in the sun. Accomodation is simple but clean and tidy with more views. The odd visit from Dom was a bonus! We recommend this for couples, families (lots of room to play) and especially for groups of friends. The sea is only a 10 minute walk down the hill. Look forward to making the long journey again from New Zealand.

We stayed there in July 2011. The complex is very nice situatedon the side of a hill of olive trees overlloking the sea. All the rooms (studios) have a balcony with a view to the sea. The rooms are quite nice and simple furnished. The hotel provides breakfast, lunch and dinner on request offering everyday different traditional plates from Corfu cusine. The center of Dassia shopping area and beach is walking distance from the hotel. We spend most of our nights having dinner at the hotel by the pool overlooking the moon coming up and this was the most relaxing part ofthe day after sightseeing, as Corfu island has a lot ofplacesto visit. The hotel owner was very helpfull to explain us some routes for our trips around. We like the place and we recommend it for people the want a relaxing holiday and for families with small children as there is a lot of space for kids to play safely.

Just returned from a week at The Panorama Hideaway. We had a great week in Dassia. The hotel is set in a beautiful location on the hillside just 10 minutes walk from the main road in Dassia. The hill was a tough climb but by the end of the week, we were much fitter! Worth it for the views as they are exceptional. Eating breakfast overlooking the view out to the sea is a must. We chose to stay B & B and had lovely continental breakfasts everyday.
The studios are lovely. Again with amazing views. For a smaller hotel, it was good to find they had excellent air conditioning which is individually controlled. Really important for me in a hot country.
The pool area was quiet and relaxing with an immaculately kept pool and gardens. It also has a bar serving drinks and snacks during the daytime. In the evening, the hotel cook meals if you order by lunchtime. Lovely traditional Greek food at a reasonable price.
We ate out for the whole time we were there although the studio did have a kitchenette so you could eat in your studio. We wanted to try the local restaurants so went out. The euro isn't doing very well at the moment so be prepared that a main course usually cost around €8 - €10. But it's worth eating at the hotel and restaurants to try their food.
The hotel is filled with mainly Europeans and very few English go there. That didn't matter to us as everyone was friendly and Sakis, the owner and Sarah, his daughter both speak English exceptionally well.
Sakis and Sarah were wonderful hosts. They helped us to arrange a boat trip and gave us ideas of what to visit on the island. If you like seeing the island in a different way, try the Asteros Thursday boat trip. For only €25 euros per person, it's worth the money. You get a barbecue lunch and drinks included and see some of the Island to the North of Dassia. The trip takes you to Kassiopi which is a lovely harbourside place. Also, you get to take a swim in a few different stop-offs. Worth every penny to see the beautiful island.
Thank you to Sakis and Sarah for a wonderful relaxing stay at your hotel. We will recommend it to our friends and family. It's definitely given us a taste of Corfu and we will come back again to see more of the island.
