We were moved to ths hotel after a very bad start in our original hotel! All i can say is... Rooms are nice..very clean. Pool area is great and right on the beach which was good as kids wanted to swap and change from pool to sea frequently. Food was bad....best meal we had was in macdonalds in corfu town! All inclusive guests get a very different service to those paying locally for drinks. If you pay you get a chilled glass for your beer...if your all inclusive you dont. Kids cocktails...which are just a mixture of juices cost eur6 and milkshakes cost. Eur3..these have always been included at any other all inc ive been to. Entertainment was terrible! We would not have booked this hotel in the first place and would'nt again.

Room Tip: Dont bother with all inclusive

Having just returned from an 11 night stay at the Elea Beach Hotel I felt I needed to comment on something that hasn't (that I can see) been written about.
I took my 87 year old mother with me and she is able to walk a little but we found it absolutely trying to get around the hotel which isn't well equipped to cope with wheelchairs. After a couple of attempts to get down to the dining room, we were met with steps in one direction or another, I got wise to how to use the lifts in order to get from A to B without obstacles, but it meant having to push the wheelchair along the complete length of the corridor in order to go one way or another - either to the door leading to the beach and gardens or the dining room.
Going to the dining room was the worst part as we had to use the only lift that would open on the basement level and that meant walking through part of the kitchen area which I found very strange in this day and age. Hygienic?
Any ramps including the one at the front of the hotel were far too steep and again I needed to find other ways around to stay in control of the wheelchair.
On the whole the food was adequate but lacked flavour. The choice each evening (we were HB) was repetitive and sometimes rather lacking in choice of a main course. Desserts were well presented but all seemed to be just a variety of the same things in different colours! Predictable most of the time but having said that there was always a wide variety of salads, fresh fruit, etc. so no need to go hungry.
As for the restaurant itself - the plates were never warm enough, serving spoons were always "sticky" from being handled and there was a lack of awareness by the staff of the need to wipe down areas and change the serving tools now and then. The focus seemed to be more on clearing tables as quickly as possible, scraping leftovers from plates into a bag on the back of a trolley and then trundling the trolleys to the washing up area with no attempt to wheel them slowly and without so much noise. I could go on forever about the restaurant, but in a nutshell it felt like dining in a school canteen. Yes, a clean table cloth was laid for each customer, but just plain paper napkins, sticky condiments and no decoration to the tables in general.

Having to pay to use sunbeds and umbrellas was scandalous, especially as you needed to provide your own towels too. We bought two from a shop along the beach on the first day rather than PAY for hotel ones which would have cost a lot more! The sunbed managers were quick to collect money and to clear away the beds, but no attempt was made to clear rubbish from the cobbled area of the beach where the beds were used.

The evening entertainment was rubbish ..

To sum up my thoughts about the Elea experience - the Hotel lacks atmosphere. The corridors are dull and uninviting. Rooms are basic but always clean. There is a lack of toilet facilities to serve the swimming area and the ones that exist are poorly maintained.

Despite what others have said about the helpfulness of the staff, I didn't find them to be particularly friendly, in fact downright scruffy in the dining room. BEWARE if you forget to give your room number at the desk when entering the dining room or you will be approached by the Dining Room Superintendent and verbally chastised!

The Hotel is adequate, but definitely not deserving of a 4 star rating.

Room Tip: I would actually suggest top floor (we were happy with this) and facing the front of the hotel, othe...

We have just got back from our holiday at Elea Beach hotel and there are some good and some bad things to say ... firstly on the good ... hotel staff very friendly, food was nice, clean sheets and towels everyday. now the bad ... broken tiles and grotty dirty grouting in public toilets, don't look under soap holder in your bathroom (black mould), the toilets are old and crusty, we were in a room situated in the middle of a corridor and could still hear the lift going up and down all night.. what its like any closer I dread to think ! ... take ear plugs just incase its you ! ... even if you put down you want a seaview you will only get it if you pay ..... TEN euros A DAY extra .. we were at the front of the hotel overlooking the entrance .. all night coaches and taxis pulling up ... very noisy hotel, doors banging and loud foreign voices .. TAKE EARPLUGS !!! .... also no where to hang wet towels on the balcony .. you could drape towel on railing but would probably blow away ... take travel washing line and some pegs , we wrapped our line around balcony and tied it to it . although it says 'hairdryers are included' take your own ... a passing farting gnat would give you more air .... if you are tempted by the trips they offer be aware the Paxos anti Paxos trip is 3 hours on a boat .. we had a very frightning crossing much to rough, people being sick, in this country they would never had been aloud to set sail .. also when you get to Paxos all there is are a dozen coffee and gift shops !! ... save your money !! we would recommend the trip to Coru main town, you also go to a working monestry ( although we didn't see any monks) ... make sure you always have a bit of toilet paper with you as the public toilets in main Corfu don't have any. be aware if you are not all inclusive sunbeds are 2 euros each a day and sun umberellas 2 euros a day to hire... take some old trainers or suitable shoe ware to go into the sea.. it is very stoney .. and not pleasent to walk on ... once you are in the sea its sandy and lovely... I know it looks like there are more bads than goods .... but you will have a lovely time if you take my advice .. happy holiday !!

Room Tip: if you can afford it upgrade to a seaview room ... but be aware its gonna cost you ten euros a night...

Stayed from 27th May till 3rd June and have no complaints at all about Elea Beach, despite being a bit concerned after reading some negative reviews. We weren't all inclusive, but had no complaints at all about the local beer and wines which we bought either in the dining room or at the bar. The room was exactly as expected from a holiday hotel, not state of the art but clean and comfortable and everything worked. Excellent water presure in the shower. The hard working staff kept our room clean and tidy, with fresh towels as required. Our sea view room was well worth the supplement. The pool are was really nice, and the main pool was one of the biggest I have seen - there are four pools in all - two adult and two children's pools. We didn't use the pools as the hotel is right on the beach, with plenty other hotels and tavernas along the shore to chose from. Dassia itself was very quiet, though it seemed to have picked up a bit my the time we were leaving. Oh - and the food was good - I am vegetarian and had no problems at all with a great selection of salad and cooked veg, rice pasta, cheeses, omelettes etc. Overall this is a nice hotel in a good location.

Room Tip: Get a sea view room if you can

We have just come back from a weeks holiday at the Elea Beach Hotel, Dassia, Corfu & found it to be a very good place to stay. All of the staff were very helpful, especially the 2 barmen in the evening. Bedroom & bathroom was a good size & very clean. The only downside we had was room 338 which was right next to the lift which was fairly noisy. The location was good & the local amenities were all within a very short walk from the hotel.

Room Tip: If you find your room next to the lift shaft ask if you can be moved. Otherwise have no complaints.

On the whole this is a really nice hotel, probably not the best time to visit in Oct as the season is winding down. The rooms are good quality and the towells lovely & soft. This is catered mostly for Germans and it took about 3 days to spot another Brit. The food was somewhat repetative and the entertainment low key but the outlook sells the hotel for me right on the sea front although you feel like your overlooking a big lake. Dassia also very quite and a struggle to go and have a decent night out, only a bar called Great Shakes offering any entertainment at the weekend. Good bus service at the end of the road to Corfu town. Would recommend both the Island trip and the barbrcue boat trip 200m from the hotel.

Room Tip: Upper level gets a better view but most rooms have a good view
