“Great Holiday”
Reviewed July 2, 2012

Spent a week at Elea beach the 7th june 12 . My mum and myself had a lovely time at this hotel, we had a sea view room which was worth the extra money. The hotel was clean , staff friendly , food v.good, excellent position right on the beach ,which was shingle but was great as sand dosn't get every where, near shops and bars and the bus stop. The only down side some of the evening entertainment abit naff , two euros for an sunshade but you can buy them for 8 euros in local shop. limited alcohol but enough varitity for us.Will recomend this hotel and will return which i have never returned to a hotel before. well done Elea Beach hope to see you all soon. in room 177

Room Tip: sea view,, watch the sun come up and cooler on an evening

we returned from a very enjoyable 7 days at the elea beach hotel on the 4th of june .Yes the hotel is dated , but everything else was spot on , location, staff , enterainment , and clean and fresh. The food was fresh and of good quality and always enough choice for us 3 seasoned travellers to enjoy every meal .We were all inclusive and the range of drinks on this deal were ample , wine, brandy, ouzo ,cocktails , soft drinks ,endless tea on coffee ,all served with a smile and a little chat .Were we the type of traveller to return to the same location , yes we would be happy to stay at the elea beach again .

Stayed here for a week in May, the holiday season had just started so the hotel was was not too busy. The hotel was clean, the staff were great and the food was good. I paid extra for the all inclusive package, and although this did not include all drinks, I only paid around £35 extra for the week when upgrading from half-board. The all inclusive package includes beer, wine, ouzo, local brandy, tea, coffee, soft drinks, and whatever the house cocktail of the day is. It also means that you don't have to pay the 2 euro charge for a sun lounger and you can get bottled water from the bar. The loungers are chained up, so you have to go after 9am and get your own while a member of staff is there - I thought that this was a great idea as I don't like to see loungers "reserved" for hours before someone shows up in the afternoon to use them.
The room safe was 7 euro/week with a 10 euro deposit for the key.
The hotel had many nationalities including Brits, German, Dutch, Italian and French. It seemed to have a lot of retired people there, I'm not sure if this is the same all season, or if it was just in May.

Room Tip: I paid extra for the sea view room (around £50) for the week and it was well worth the extra.

I returned yesterday from a very enjoyable holiday in Corfu and stayed for 7 nights at the Elea Beach Hotel. The hotel and rooms were very very clean and it was nice to see the cleaners taking real pride in their work and taking their time to do a very good job. The location of the hotel is excellent and is right by the beach and you can have a lovely walk along the little prommenade or it is only a 10 minute walk into the resort of Dassia. The hotel had a great variety of food both hot and cold for buffet breakfast and the greek yoghurt with honey was lovely! The evening meal however was dissapointing as there was a lot of repetition with many of the same foods each night and the food was veryoften barely like warm. I went on a half board basis and 2 evenings no waiter came to us and offered to get us a drink which i thought was bad! The bar staff were very friendly but i found some of the reception staff quite rude and things were too much trouble for them. I would stay at this resort again but a different hotel.

Just returned from Elea beach hotel on all inclusive deal but its not you have to pay for most spirits all you get on inclusive deal is Ouzo beer comquat brandy house red or white wine one cocktail most soft drinks if you ask for orange juice you get orange squash you have to pay 2 euros for a parasol. The rooms are clean and tidy but very dated beds are very hard not to my liking, no toast making facilities in the restuarant but plenty of choice of other foods.Lovely location close to the beach plenty of choice of swimming pools would go back to Dassia but not at this hotel. Travelled with Olympic never again but that's another story.

My wife and I have just returned from Corfu after staying in the Hotel Elea Beach Hotel in Dassia. I have read alot of the reviews and wholeheartedly agree with most of them, however I do think depending on what holiday "board" you go for tends to dictate the rest of your holiday. We stayed on half board, which meant we didnt have to stay at the hotel. We both felt that the room was excellent, although no air con, the ceiling fan kept us cool in the night. We had a room on the 1st floor with a sea view right above the entertainment area. This did not detract our enjoyment in anyway. Yes, the entertainment went onto about 11.30pm but we didnt go on holiday to go to bed early. As a previous review said the entertainment was very repetitive, hence we only ever caught the end of it after we got back. There was a Greek night which was enjoyable, the rest we didnt bother with. We found that most if not all of the Germans staying on the "All inclusive" package spent their evenings in the bar enjoying the entertainment. We spent our evenings either in Corfu or Dassia town.

The location of the hotel was excellent, We had a choice of relaxing around the pool or on the shingle beach. The cost of sunbeds was 2euro each, however on a few occasions after we had been out and returned in the afternoon we did not have to pay for them. We bought a parasol for 3 euros which we used everyday for the whole week.
We found the staff to be polite and once again didnt have a problem. A "Kalimera" - Good Morning, or "Kalispera" - Good evening, was a good way to bring a smile to their face.
The restaurant was in the basement, but we found the food to be enjoyable, I enjoyed the Fish and Veal, Kleftiko and had a different meal everynight. Breakfast was also enjoyable. Plenty of fruit, cereal and a good choice. Only downside you couldnt get a nice cup of coffee or tea. We felt the cleaning staff did a fantastic job in the rooms. Everyday our room was cleaned and fresh towels and sheets put out. The ladies worked very hard in hot temperatures. All the staff did.
Dassia town is very small, but there were some nice Tavernas which had a good atmosphere and we met many different people there in the evenings. As a previous review mentioned the Patisserie opposite the bus stop was wonderful. Polite staff and lovely coffee and cakes.
Ypsos and Gouvia were both lovely as was Corfu town. The only downside we thought was the amount of rubbish that just seemed to be thrown anywhere. Any side road you walked down there seemed to be rubbish everywhere. That was a shame.
Overall my wife and I had a wonderful relaxing week at the Elea Beach. 7 days of sunshine, a warm clear sea to swim in, and a thoroughly enjoyable place to be. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Pay the extra for a Sea View room. Well worth it, just to sit on the balcony and look out over the I...

Good location. My daughter (5 years old) was very happy with evening mini disco, dancing with Samantha (lady in charged for kids entertainment ). Beach is small, but clean and quite convenient for the kids. The room 269 has good view on Sea. Terrace is spacious. If you wake up early, you can sea a beautiful sunrise. Food is more or less repeating every day, with some variations. Again, we were eating well. There was enough fruits after meals. The pools are good and clean. A lot, lot of German people, mostly older. Entertainment program is German oriented. Bad things about hotel were that you feel they try to squeeze from you every possible additional euro - as a guest, I must pay for sunbeds and umbrella's - quite strange to me. Also, during the food time, you can see the stuff trying to catch your plates as soon as possible. Last, on the reception of the hotel it is written that you must check-out until 11:00. When we came back at our room (10:40) for last things to bring to our cars, when we were leaving the hotel, we found that lady which cleans rooms, took our things and put them outside the room !!! Never had such experience. As I said, Corfu town is excellent , and whole vacation was good, so we didn't allow these things to spoil our good feeling regarding complete vacation we had.

Room Tip: Higher floors have better sea viea, on sea side
