My partner and I along with friends visited Ikos Dassia from 16 Oct to 23 Oct and from the moment we arrived to the second we left everything was superb. The minute you enter the hotel you are met with a splendid reception/bar/lounge area and attentive staff. Moving onto our room we were in 1408 the layout is well thought through, new designed furniture/mini bar which is refreshed daily. Bathroom with bath/shower and lovely toiletries also refreshed daily. The balcony was spacious with very comfortable furniture. Yes we faced the main road but despite other reviews it wasn't intrusive and certainly didn't interfere with sleeping. On our first day we had breakfast in the main buffet restaurant which has a vast range of English and European selections and to have different coffees on offer was something we appreciated very much. As a party we used to have lunch in the main Flavours buffet but on occasion we did have lunch twice in the Ouzo restaurant where you could either choose wholly or partly from the menu and also from the fabulous barbeque they have daily there. We ate in most of the restaurants but unfortunately as we didn't know that you could pre-book before you arrived we missed out on a couple. This certainly didn't spoil our holiday. The grounds of the hotel which cover both Sky and Sea buildings are maintained to a high standard and the gardeners although working through the day are so quite you wouldn't know they were there. We didn't use the Spa on the complex so can't comment but just walking past it was serene and well laid out. Evening entertainment was held in the theatre which is located near the sports area. Our compliments to the entertainment team (singers/dancers) who put on a different show each night (apart from the White Night Party) they were so professional and what really stood out is they engaged with the children at the end of the night which was lovely to see. Josh - you must have the best job on that team. If there is a vacancy for a Monitor it's mine..... During your stay here you have the opportunity to take one of the Ikos Minis out for a day and explore the country. We drove down South to Kavos up to Paleokastritsa onto Sidari and back home. The hotel supply each person with a packed lunch which we had on the beach at Paleo - very nice. The hotel also have courtesy mini buses throughout the day to and from Corfu Town. There are areas within both complexes that have pools for the both children/families and Adult Only so there is something for everybody and an army of staff to wait on you hand and foot through out the day. The beach was also a lovely area to sit on and there are water sports for hotel guests to participate in. Onto the main part of the review and that is the staff - we have stayed at other 5 star properties and the staff here match and often exceed and certainly excel at their profession. Special thanks to Eleftheria who we met in the Provence (French) restaurant and again the next day at Ouzo for lunch - what a lovely young lady. So attentive (John especially thought so his wine glass has never been so full), so helpful and courteous such a pleasure to have known her. Finally special thank you to Apostolos in Guest Relations. Your help with our dinner reservations in both the Sky and Sea buildings was so much appreciated it enhanced our dining experience. Apostolos also helped locate a missing bag belonging to our friends which we discovered whilst we were checking out, this took some time and he went over and above to find it and personally deliver it to us. Apostolos is a credit to the Ikos company and Dassia is extremely lucky to have him as part of their staff, nothing is too much trouble for him to resolve. If we return which we hope to (Apostolos - add Greek lessons to the list of activities on offer for guests) If you are thinking of booking this or any Ikos hotel then do it - you will not be disappointed.

Room tip: Either Sky or Sea Building are excellent.

2 mature couples , we had an amazing week in October. we were blown away with the standard of service, quality of food and ameneties .
Having seen the other reviews - no need to repeat - agree with it all.
make sure you book the 3 restaurants prior to going, although book up early they are not crowded and service is great.
If you can, pay the extra for the sea view as the road at the back is a bit noisy in the mornings ( only if you have the window open) - BUT- we would still take a back room rather than not go.

Room tip: sea view if you can

Pretty much concur with all of the other reviews and would say that this has to be the best AI hotel we’ve ever stayed in!

We stayed 16-23 Oct in a Sea View Junior Suite in Sky building - we were 2 adults and an 8 year old. We were lucky and got a great deal with Jet2 so it was great value for us.

Positives:
- Even though it was the second last week of the season, it didn’t feel like it with almost everything operating as usual. Only things not on were the Gelateria (although there was a smaller one at the Splash park) and the Vidos Island trip. Compared to other places we’ve stayed at the end of the season it was so good to have the same treatment as everyone else and for all the restaurants to be open.
- Kids club was fantastic for our 8 year old - staff were brilliant and a good variety of activities. The location of it right near the adult pool was also great and meant you could drop off then go straight to the pool!
- Room was absolutely spotless and was serviced twice a day which was excellent.
- Atmosphere was lovely and chilled and the vast majority of the time the staff couldn’t do enough to help you - we were offered a lift one night when heading to the theatre and were even offered a final drink whilst waiting for our transfer home.
- Food and drink - top class throughout with a huge selection and a la carte options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Fresco was our favourite, the crepes were amazing!!
- Always sun loungers available and the staff did clear loungers that had been left for a while - not that this happened often as there wasn’t really a need to ‘reserve’ loungers when there were plenty available
- Free mini hire and the sunset cruise were good and great that they were also included in the package. Also had fun on the pedalos!

Negatives (and this really is being very fussy!)
- Even though we asked on the first day, we didn’t manage to get booked into Anaya for dinner and the times available on some of the other restaurants were a bit late for us.
- Flavours (buffet) was ok but could be a little chaotic and definitely wouldn’t have wanted to eat there often.
- Pillows were way too soft - we tried with a cushion underneath but it still didn’t help.
- Wasps and other insects! They did try and keep the wasps at bay but they were bad - to be fair if you didn’t fuss they went away but it was off putting and if you’re afraid of them I can imagine it would really put you off. The mosquitos etc were also out in force - my husband got bitten several times and doesn’t usually so I’d definitely recommend insect repellant even if you don’t usually get bitten.

Overall though, an amazing, chilled, holiday and would highly recommend.

This trip was bought on offer at the beginning of the year, for October and what an absolute bargain with terrific weather also, plus a free day hire of a Mini Cooper.
The hotel was modern, bright, luxurious and very welcoming. The staff were extremely friendly, efficient and helpful, in every area, from reception, restaurant staff, bar staff and customer services, especially Apostolos, who was there to help with anything we needed, Restaurant bookings etc, a true gentleman, who is very efficient and courteous, a pleasure to meet.
The animation crew were so talented and professional and worked so hard at every show, each night they surpassed themselves, playing to a full theatre.
I can’t recommend this hotel and their staff enough, they go the whole mile to keeping their visitors extremely happy.
Well done everyone at the Ikos Dassia, thank you for the best holiday and the best hotel we’ve ever stayed in!!!
Oh and big thanks to the ever smiling,Elphileria? From the french restaurant for continually refilling our never empty glasses.

Room tip: All rooms fab I expect

If you’re debating on whether to book or not, just do it, you won’t be disappointed.

It truly is a delightful experience from the moment you land and are whisked off to the amazing views at the hotel to the moment you fly home.

So much care and attention to detail from the entire Ikos team, but a special mention goes to:

Kerkyra – Nikitas, extremely professional and runs a great restaurant and team

Ergon Deli – Katerina, superb customer service skills and was great to see her again

Aris – such an attentive beach waiter and genuinely lovely to talk to

Veronika – guest relations, who attended to all of our requests with any delay and truly looked after us

Dirk Smeets – hotel manager who came to meet us personally when we checked (our second visit this year) which was a nice touch

All restaurants from the buffet restaurants to the a la carte are all of a very high standard, but the a la carte's do have the edge. Try and book 3 restaurants before you arrive which you can do by emailing the hotel.

Trying Aria next year, but will definitely return to the beautiful Dassia in the future.
