We've visited tons of castles all over Europe and this one stands out as one of the nicest ones we've seen. Firstly the location between lake and mountains is just beautiful! The castle itself is very well preserved and you get to explore I think up to almost 40 or 50 different rooms at your own pace. The rooms are still very well preserved and have a very old medieval feel to it (unlike some more well-known castles where people flock to). We travelled with a small toddler so did not do a tour or audio guide. I think this would've been extra interesting, but there are written descriptions all over the rooms so that you can read some history at your own pace (quite important when travelling with kids). We were there in winter and it was really easy to find parking directly across the road (free for 3 hrs). I would strongly recommend a visit to this castle if you are in the area.
