This restaurant is a well-known place near Lausanne. If you want to sit outside for lunch during the summer, you'll definitely need a reservation. We did not had a reservation, but, after initially sitting inside, we were offered a place under the trees on the terrace. The view is great, near the lake. The service was as excellent as the food. They spontaneously suggested a vegetarian dish when there was initially noone on the "reduced menu" (there are so many people willing to eat there on Sunday when the weather is nice that they have to reduce the choices available, but there is still plenty to chose from). They also brought a baby chair for our baby (there were at least 4 chairs for the restaurant! not only one). I have seen that they also brought fresh water for a small dog at a table nearby (small dogs are allowed on the terrace).
The food was served quickly enough despite the fact that there were so many people. They even served other tables past 14:00 (which is quite unusual in Switzerland).
And the dishes were great! good taste, nice presentation. I had a risotto with green vegetables. They have a traditional choice of desserts and Moevenpick ice-creams but in summertime there is also an ice-cream parlour nearby,
Tip 1: nearby is a toy-train (mini-train) for children (operating during the summer).
Tip 2: this place is accessible with public transportation. Parking your car may be a problem on crowded days.
