Sorry, I may not be spelling Ms. Perla's name correctly... she's of petit built and has stylish short hair that's of a dark shade of brown. She has helped us tremendously by accomodating 2 of our large cargo traveling bags while we drive across Spain to Portugal. Mere Words can't thank her enough, but I wish the management will take note of her high service standards that comes from her good heart. She even remembered us when we return :D the sense of warmth is touching.

The rest of your service staff is also wonderful, they strive to answer our queries at best, and when in doubt, they checked around with their colleagues.

Thank you San Joan Despi for wrapping our holiday up so beautifully.

Spending two night at this hotel. The room and bathroom was clean. Based on the hotel rate, i'd said it's value for money. There is cute family area (for kids to play around) and computer can be used at ground floor lobby area. The fresh green apple that presented at the lobby waiting area make me feel fresh and personally i like this decor very much (even though i don't eat green apple)

We took private excursion to visit Monastery of Montserrat to see the Black Madonna and had done a lots of shopping at Barcelona. For me, the location is still acceptable.

One negative point was their breakfast arrangement. It wasn't be arranged properly as u can see from the photo. The serving staff merely look not dedicated. Moreover it was quite noisy & crowded morning. Therefore it made the whole dining experience as if you are having your coffee & croissant at a canteen. Except this point, the overall staying in this hotel was quite pleasant.

I choose this hotel for my family for three nights. We were cruising out but wanted to see a little of the city. For this hotel to be across the street from a hospital it was very quite. The staff was very friendly and also told us how to get around and great places to eat. The staff was always happy to see us as we came and went. The rooms were not small. My kids really enjoyed themselves. The Wi-Fi was great they had games in the lobby for the kids to play.

Hotel is located just outside the edges of Barcelona. Nearest convenient transport is the tram a few minutes walk from the hotel.

Staff on check in were gorgeous and friendly. Spoke clear and fluent english. Patient for a group that had plenty of children in tow. Kids love their play area with x-box foot ball game and other toys.

Parking was a bit pricey but safe. Rooms were big and toilets had bath tubs and clean. Not much views but the view from room 710 to the motorway was good enough for me. Airtight windows prevented any noise from coming in.

Lobby and toilets were clean. Pub lent me some small plates and spoons for kid's tea biscuits, very considerate, thank you. Had wanted to try their bar area but were too exhausted and rooms too comfy to make it downstairs once we were in the rooms.

We booked this hotel at a good rate from the internet. Breakfast was not included the first time but service and room was exceptional so we booked it on the second leg of our trip and breakfast was included then. Breakfast buffet was good though lunch and dinner menu items were limited.
The hotel itself is in a suburb area of Barcelona but bus and tram are located nearby so is a hospital if there is cause for an emergency. Supermarket is close by if you are traveling with kids and forget some essentials. The towels were not great and they gave 3 bottles of shampoo but no lotion but we were not complaining as they provided excellent service otherwise. Remember, this is Europe so rooms and bathrooms will be considerably smaller and you have to ask for iron and international chargers which they give you free of cost. You can also check your email for 20 minutes everyday though the Wi-fi system was not that great and we had trouble downloading on our Ipad. Other than all these minute flaws, i give this hotel 4 stars !

Room Tip: The hotel did not have central air-conditioning at this time but we opened the window and the Spanis...

The hotel is a relatively new addition to the Novotel chain, and would appear to have been built to take advantage of the proximity of businesses and the Nou Camp stadium of FC Barcelona, as opposed to close proximity to the city itself. In order to get into Bareclona, you need to take both tram and Metro, which are both regular, and in the case of the tram (T3), pick-up points are very close to the hotel (Get a 2-3 day travel card which gives unlimited travel on bus, tram, tube and train). The hotel facilities are clean, modern and the rooms are well equipped and spacious. There is a pool (a bit too chilly in March for a swim!) and a medium sized "garden" area which is a real sun trap and ideal for chilling out if a city trip is a little too much to bear.

There is a small childrens play area adjacent to the reception area, so under reasonably constant observation by hotel staff, and an equally small "internet cafe" area with a couple of Macs, plus an xBox 360 should you want to play games rather than get out and be a tourist!!

The bar is open plan, is overlooked by a large screen TV, which seems to be almost constantly tuned to a sports channel of some sort or another. The restaurant is ok, again open plan with a variable layout dependent upon time of day and (I presume) occupancy levels in the hotel.

Prices for beers, wines, and main meals (our deal included breakfast, whcih was well worth trying) are what you would expect from a Novotel, not cheap, but not hyper expensive (given there is little choice in the vicinity of you want to try alternative catering arrangements).

The hotel staff were universally cheerful, helpful and (mostly) able to converse in English (even though, as mentioned earlier, the hotel is well off what you might call the regular tourist beaten track), and happy to help wherever possible

So, in summary, a well appointed hotel, staffed by friendly, knowledgeable and approachable staff, off the beaten track, so not subject to some of the less attractive traits (particularly of the Brits who go to Barcelona for the stag do's!), but with excellent transport links to both Barcelona and the airport (bus to and from the airport (L77) stops and picks up less than 2 minutes from the Hotel reception).
