Having been to Foia several times I must say it continues to be at the top of my list for places to eat in this area. The service is always friendly and efficient but the new menu items win my praises. They are creative and absolutely delicious, especially the rice balls!
The potato and leek soup with gorgonzola is rich and flavourful..my favourite.

If I had not been given a gift certificate I would have walked out! Two tiny pieces of bread with a glob of disgusting cheese and 2 tiny roasted tomatoes was $12 - supposed to be garlic bread! Way over priced, food amounts would not satisfy a toddler. No one in the restaurant but our table and the service was still appalling and slow. Don't go there unless you have too much money, previously eaten and a lot of time to waste. Sorry harsh but true!

This place is one of my favourite restaurants! The food is always delicious and the atmosphere is so relaxed & cozy, yet posh. We book many parties here and frequent for dinner on a regular basis. The staff are friendly and helpful and you can always be greeted with a smile. It's rich dark wood and warm colours make you feel like you are in the big city but has a calming effect that makes you want to stay all night. They have a great wine list to choose from and the chef always starts you out with a deliciously savory butter for your fresh baked bread. All I can say is..... yum!

Just ate at Foia for the 1st and last time.
Group of 4, reservation for 8pm, finally got seated at 8:50 (waited to be seated at the bar that didn't have a bartender), got our first bit of food after flagging down the waitress for some bread at 9:45pm. Appetizers were not good - goat cheese spring rolls and beef carpaccio covered in balsamic and flavourless. Entrees were ok but the seafood risotto lacked the seafood and was thick, reminiscent of sticky rice and again, flavourless. This was the world's slowest service and although it was a busy weekend being Valentine's and all, this should have been anticipated and staffed appropriately. What probably made this worse was the waitresses and owner's refusal to acknowledge that anything was wrong with waiting almost 2 hrs to get appetizers. At the end of this long and tedious food experience the owner ignorantly offered to buy us cocktails to compensate for horrible service and bad food. When we declined (because we'd been there 3 hrs now and didn't want to wait another hour to get a free cocktail) the waitress very awkwardly asked if we wanted an appetizer taken off our bill. She had to ask?! Seriously?!
We usually do not complain at restaurants and just roll with things but this was exceptionally bad and ignorant.
