La Disfida in Haberfield has delicious pizzas. The pastry is thin and tasty and they have a great range of toppings. Try the "Campagnola" and the "Disfida". The restaurant is licensed and you can bring your own wine. It's a great family restaurant but they don't take bookings unless there are five or more people.

La Disfida is one of my favourite restaurants in Sydney. I've realised for some time that the best Italian in the inner west is in Haberfield; not Leichhardt.

Fantastic food, polite staff, unpretentious and good value for money. I try and go about once a month and often bring friends who haven't been before and I've never been disappointed.

I look forward to many more evenings here in the future!

Take the time to look at the reviews rather than just the scores, and you'll see that since La Disfida has been taken over by new management, it has leaped ahead. For those seeking something like the experience of eating out at local restaurants in Italy, this is it - at a fraction of the price.

The pizza continues to be a strong performer - thin of crust and rich of flavour. More importantly, as someone who visits each 6 weeks or so, the menu reflects what is seasonal, so it is hard to get bored.

Myself and two mates generally share three entrees and a couple of pizzas, washed down by our own wines. The service is attentive without being pestering and e gan have a leisurey chat without feeling rushed, even on a Friday.

Note - no bookings unless you are in a group of five or more. Just het there a little before 6 to be sure of a table.

Our family's favourite restuarant when visiting Sydney. The pizza's have the thinnest crust, toppings fantastic, my favourite of late comes with truffle oil absolutely delicious. Owner and staff great people, always welcoming service. My daughter loves the raspberry creme brûlée when on the menu. Over the years we have visited often and are never disappointed. Atmosphere lively and friendly.

Always knows as one of the top Pizza places in Sydney for 8 years we refused to go because the atmosphere and the service were so uninviting to the point of Rude it was not worth it.
How things have changed. Now have unbelievable staff, fantastic atmosphere and still brilliant food, now a regular family resteraunt for us.
