I booked this hotel for one night as a surprise for my other half. It was very last minute & we arrived late on the friday night - the staff were very helpful (i had spoken to them several times in the days before as i wanted to check the restaurant would still be open!). We had strawberries in our room on arrival, a glass of Pimms each and 3 course dinner. The food was absolutely fantastic - attention to detail and lovely flavours. The portion size was good - we were both struggling to manage dessert! Our room was in the courtyard - large & spacious. The bed was huge (possibly super king size) and we both slept well. The only downside was that there was no mini bar in the room - however there was a fridge with fresh milk for tea. Breakfast was also great - we had scrambled eggs & eggs benedict - both generous portions and freshly cooked to a very high standard. The hotel was very quiet whilst we were there - just wish we had more time to enjoy the lovely grounds. The staff were fantastic - service was great & they were friendly. We would definitely return here and would highly recommend.

We recently stayed for a couple of days for a friend's birthday. What a delightful hotel in a beautiful setting. The rooms are spacious, beautifully furbished, light and airy. The food is excellent and staff are friendly and extremely helpful. As hotel owners ourselves we are very critical, however we could find no fault with Oakley Hall. We plan to make a return visit and would recommend it highly to anyone considering a visit.

Returned to Oakley Hall for my wife's birthday. 6 of us stayed for 3 days and attended their "Winemakers Dinner". Absolutely first class. Overall the hotel is excellent, but the best thing about the Hall is their staff. Every one found it easy to smile and to help. Katja was particularly good.

Stayed for dinner bed and breakfast in a courtyard room to celebrate friends 50th birthdays. Clean, modern, and well appointed, with White Company toiletries, and half bottle of champage, but room and particulalrly bathroom rather small. We are on the small side so just about fitted into the bed, but another couple who are around 6ft tall found their feet having over the edge. Food and service were very good, but again, portions on the small side.

We stayed in a courtyard room. It was excellent. Large room, lovely decor. Very comfortable and relaxing. There was half a bottle of Champagne awaiting us when we arrived. We had afternoon tea in the beautiful appointed library. All food and drink was first class, including service. Staff were pleasant and helpful, especially Jonathan on reception - I left my necklace behind by mistake and when I phoned he went over to the room and found it for me and is posting it out by first class post. The grounds of the hotel are extensive and impressive - enjoyed a walk through the wooded grounds. I would recommend a stay here and would go back again.
