I have always preferred the Bedford location to its former Halifax sister location as the seating is widespread, the noise level lower, and the ambience more relaxed and less 'rushed'. Now that the Halifax restaurant is no more, take the wee drive to Bedford and enjoy an excellent Italian experience. Their warm cabbage salad remains one of my all time FAV' salads any where ... don't be fooled into thinking it's some sort of coleslaw. If you're not a big fan of cabbage, you will be once you've had this salad. How can anything served warm with freshly sautéed EVOO, bacon, and parmesan be wrong? Also, my friends just adore the mussels particularly the broth ... They would happily 'skip' the mussels just to consume the flavourful broth. The quality of ingredients and attention to detail make every bite delicious. I cannot speak to the entrees as I've never been able to get beyond the amazing appetizers, pastas, wines and occasionally dessert! They are not open on Sundays so don't be disappointed ... go ANY other day. And if you're shopping in Bedford, consider dropping up to Il Mercato for an amazing fresh-baked dessert and a cappuccino or latte ... Their dessert case is the stuff of dreams!
