"Serving Delicious Food Since 1930" the sign outside says and so some Fridays my wife and I like to close out the week on a high note by having supper here.
It's a family style restaurant and there's something for large and small appetites including an all day breakfast. It doesn't matter what time of day you get up, you'll do alright here.
There are daily specials and a soup of the day but we usually just order a small salad and split an entree as the portions are quite large. A 10 oz prime rib is $17.99 or a fishermans basket with haddock, clams, scallops and shrimp is $15.99. Turkey dinner for $12.49, salads $4 to $8. Apple pie $3.99. Cheese cake $4.99. They also serve a very nice 5 oz. Jost cabernet foch for $4.99. Seniors have their own menu too.
The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly and it's obvious that there are many diners here who are regular visitors. It's that kind of place. Prices are reasonable and we usually spend about $30 dollars for the two of us including tip and drinks. The quality of the food and service is consistently good. We've never had a bad experience which says a lot.
The servers are like family and obviously enjoy working here. So nice to see after a stressful day. It's a place where family generations can eat together and just enjoy the food and each other.
Oh, one more good thing, they don't play loud music.
