This is a lovely beach. Totally unspoilt with old Greek ruins for everyone to peruse and share. You can swim out to the little island opposite and ring the traditional church bell. It was uncrowded, even in August and there was a good choice of bars and restaurants along it's stretch. Very nice indeed.

Although we were staying in Tigaki on the other side ot the island, we hired a car one day and took our 6 teenagers to this beach near Kefalos for some sea swimming. There is plenty of parking. It is a beautiful sandy beach and very clean. On the left hand end are some ruins and in the middle of the bay is an island with a small church on. Most of us are good swimmers and swam out to the island. A couple of the kids had snorkels and saw a variety of fish. My husband hired a pedalo to get to the island. As a tip I would recommend wearing beach shoes if you are going to climb the rocks as they are very sharp. We had ice creams afterwards at a stand on the beach. Could do with some toilet facilities though. The kids voted this the best day of the holiday.

Super soft sand, relax and enjoy the surroundings, the sea is a bit cold here but it is very shallow, you can walk out to kastri island or take a pedalo or enjoy a wedding by looking out over the sea to the small church,my favourite beach returning recently from my 15th year

Very nice beach next to the old ruins. The beach goes on for a couple of miles in Kamari bay. You can snorkel over to Kastri Island which I did and explore over there. Great way to kill a few sunny hours.
