We went to Blue Lagoon Village on 1st May for 2 weeks to get married. We had a party of 39 people in total ranging from a 3 month old baby to my 60 odd year old parents.
I found this hotel really good for service, it's definitely a 5 star! I would say its a good family hotel although mainly for smaller children (0-10) and then adults. I think they could do a bit more for teens and OAPs but all in all I would definitely go back. (if I could avoid Kos airport which was horrendous but not the hotels fault!)
The place is big but golf carts take you around wherever you want to go so this was never a problem. The pools are fab, lots going on to do and waiters constantly asking if they can get you a drink.
One thing that baffled me was that there is no baby change facility at the main entertainment stage so of an evening we had to try and change nappies in buggies in the dark which was a bit of a pain. Perhaps the hotel could put a baby change unit in the toilets as this would have helped a lot!
The place was always being cleaned, all staff friendly. We did have a problem with the ironing service, we paid for the laundry team to iron the groom and father of the bride shirts and trousers,...We went to Blue Lagoon Village on 1st May for 2 weeks to get married. The place was always being cleaned, all staff friendly. We did have a problem with the ironing service, we paid for the laundry team to iron the groom and father of the bride shirts and trousers, they came back looking unironed, so we asked for it to be done again, which it was, but still returned unironed (with fold creases in the shirts). Upon check out we were told we had to pay for this as it was done twice even after explaining that they were not ironed and we had to do them ourselves they said they would call the police if we didn't pay! They didn't seem to accept that the ironing was not done so why are we paying for a service that we didn't receive.
Memory foam mattresses were v comfy. Small mini fridge in room.More
