Wonderful beach to get away from it all and a lovely taverna that serves good food.
Is on the side of the island where the sea is rougher...but sea is quite invigorating and good for swimming.

It's so quiet, it's an endless view to the sea, it's a nice restaurant with very good cuisine. It's highly recommended!

it was quiet. We hired a quad bike for the 2 weeks we were there and we found it was easier to get around on than a car would have been. You have to have breakfast at Captain Johns LOVELY.

Great Taverna at anytime with a warm welcome.Sunsets are spectacular though and a great place to dine with the sound of the waves lapping the shore. It's well worth a drive out of Kefalos to visit.Traditional food and lovely home made specialities.Kids are welcomed although not intrusive and you will find yourself dining amongst many different nationalities.Super location and a must for that sunset moment.Been going for years and seen it expand but not lose its welcome.

Beyond the village of Kefalos if you keep driving south, you will come to a fork in the road, keep right and it will take you down to Wave beach....where there is a beach with big waves, and also the Sunset Taverna also known as Agiio Theologos where you will get an excellent meal and also must be the best place on the Island of Kos to watch the sun go down.....Cheers..
