Really surprised with this hotel. Yes, it is right on the beach. Any closer and you'd be swimming in your sleep. Lovely views across the bay including the tiny island with the little church and actually saw dolphins swimming out there one morning. Travelled at the end of April just before the season started so everything was quiet and peaceful. Room was of a much higher standard than I expected and was cleaned every day except sunday which was amazing. Stamatis and his family are lovely hosts. When he arrived, he said he just wanted us to be comfortable and that's exactly what we were. Comfortable, relaxed and happy. Great food in the restaurants. Highly recommended for a low budget break on a beautiful island.

To Stamatis, Angela, Petia (who I didnt get chance to say goodbye to and thank) , all the rest of the family and staff especially Paragon who gave my wife and I plenty of execise playing fetch a good pat and a well deserved stroke many many thanks for a wonderfull holiday.

If you go on holiday to Kos and stay in Kefalos and are looking for the place to stay then look no further there is not one bad thing that can be said about this hotel the staff the location or the welcome you receive and the service you get while staying there.

My wife and i stayed here for a week starting on 8th June 2013 and from the moment we arrived the hospitality was obvious and this was at 4am in the morning Stamatis greeted us with a smile as wide as the bay and a manner that was as warm as the sun that shone later in the day.
our room (104) was excellent, clean, tidy with a nice view across to the mountain at the far end of the bay from the balcony which was a sun trap in the afternoon.

Food from any of the restaurants is 1st class and tastes wonderfull do try the Asian restaurant especially the duck dishes.

DO NOT MISS A WEEK HERE even if you are staying eleswhere the go to the barbacues drop in for a meal you will go back.

Stamatis sorry it took so long in putting in my review but work commitments, Shirley and I will return if for me only to torment the staff and play ball with Paragon.
Thanks for the room on the last day
Again many many thanks to you all
(Petia, Keep singing little bird you brough joy to our day)

Just had a week at sacallis inn. What can I say. The location is brilliant, Stamatis, Angela and all the staff are lovely, the rooms are really clean as is the rest of the hotel and swimming pool.. The two tavernas , Antonios and the Asian restaurant serve the best food in kefalos. Ignore the sign outside the Aussie barbeque taverna, the service was mediocre at least and the food lower than average. Ok if like everything with chips, which I don't. They profess to be the number one eatery in kefalos. I wouldn't even put them in any league.

Travelled to kefalos with my work colleague Marie and we both agree the sacallis inn is a little gem. It's only downside is the breakfast selection. It's not very appealing, most guests , British and other nationalities brought their own food in. Really helpful supermarket just one minute away. The oasis. Stamatis is aware of the comments and is looking to make some adjustments . A toaster would be good!

Bus services are very prompt for Greece and drivers always pleased to help. Paradise beach is 10 mins away by bus and costs 1.60 euro each way. Another little gem for this area. The beach outside the hotel has lots of stones and shingle on the shoreline, but ok if you wear those rubber shoes windsurfers wear. Paradise beach is all sand.

A trip to kos town also a must. Try also the myths coffee bar and taverna by the harbour. Great cakes with coffee etc and taverna next door is very good. Added bonus of free wi fi!

It was very quiet whilst we were in kefalos, but we like that. Evenings were well spent at the dolphin rock cafe. Great cocktails and music all with free wi fi.

Summing up I thoroughly recommend sacallis inn and would definaely go back there. If only to see if breakfast has improved!

Returned wed booked for next year thurs, says it all really but for anyone thinking of paying a visit its very good value for money, the half board is set menu 3 starter choices including home made soups which are excellent, 2 choices for main, you can select from the restuarant menu if you fancy a change and you get 10 per cent discount, the food was delicious the whole 2 weeks we were there, all the staff are brilliant and make you feel very welcome, the setting is idylic right on the beach with stunning views, the rooms are spotless, decor very modern, they are small but really you are sleeping there not moving in!, balconies are good size and quite private, yes you pay for fridge if you need one, and yes you pay for sunbeds on beach but I can honestly say we have travelled all over greece and have always paid so cannot see the problem, if you break down your holiday cost the flights take the lions share and what the hotels get is very small so to find somewhere like this for that kind of money makes sacallis a rare gem and they deserve some praise for the way they run it, we chose to go with the positive reviews and I am so pleased we did, cant wait to go back.

just returned after a week at the hotel, as always good food, clean room, excellent position of the hotel - literally on the beach and not forgetting the pool, what more do you want. Staff very friendly and nothing too much trouble. if you are a female single traveller, this is the place for you, and three menu's to choose from, Chinese, Asian and of course Greek. this is my fourth visit to the hotel in two years and I cannot fault it. as i always say you only get out of a holiday what you put in, be polite, friendly and you will be respected for that.

Room Tip: rooms facing the road get the sun most of the day and get very warm, rooms facing the sea obviously...

Returned again to this gem of a hotel for some more sun, sand, sea and super friendly service.

‘Hotel’ is not really the right word because it is more than that; there is a friendly beach bar and patio snack bar, a beachside swimming pool & lounging area, 2 brilliant restaurants (one traditional outdoor Greek Taverna, one new indoor luxury, but not expensive, Asian Restaurant) and, of course, the comfortable small hotel itself complete with glorious sea views.

All of these facilities are excellent but the thing that makes this an extra special place is the friendly service of the Sacallis family and staff which pervades throughout all of the above areas. Then of course you can also step straight onto the beach - perfect!

We never tire of returning here having stayed many times for the last 20 years. It just feels like home but with all the above added extras.

Room Tip: Almost all of the rooms have a sea view.

As if the welcoming family atmosphere wasn't enough, the location is practically idyllic: right on the beach in a beautiful cal bay. All the staff are lovely and the facilities are so great you basically don't need to leave - there's a beach bar, pool, restaurant, and, of course, you're already on the beach! Perfect. Can't wait to go back
