The sacallis family, made us feel like part or their extended family, room,s are modern, cleaned every day.when we arrived late at night,we were given complimentary drinks.they have two excellent restaurants, one asian, one greek.we were given a sea view room, the views were stunning.breakfast was a healthy balanced affair with juice, coffee, fresh bread, jam, marmalade, ham, cheese, tomatoes and melon.if an english fry-up is what you want the riverside cafe is across the road.all in all stamatis and spetzia could not have tried any harder to please.forget the negative comments from other reviews, this a 2 star priced hotel with 4 star attitude.

Room Tip: Keep an open-mind about reviews, some people want a 5star hotel for 2star prices

Despite being a two-star hotel, this friendly family hotel has a number of attributes often missing in the case of top-class enterprises.

1. Exquisite location. Directly on the beach of the beautiful Kamari Bay, just a few steps from the sea. Wonderful conditions for swimming, snorkelling and a variety of water sports. Local shop and car-hire facilities, internet café in the vicinity. Many other restaurants around, but seriously doubt they can compete with the hotel's own facilities.

2. Food fit for gourmets. Breakfast is continental style, slice of processed ham, cheese, egg, jam, fresh melon and crunchy fresh bread, juice, coffee or tea every day. Half board entitled us to a wide choice of tasty three-course Greek meals, composed of the very same exquisite food cooked for guests in the hotel's excellent Antonio's Taverna. Although enjoying half board, we also tried the barbecue (every Sat and Wed evening). A real gastronomic experience (tip - the lamb chops were quite out of this world). This is not a hotel for those that want to lose weight, as the food is divine and all portions are more than generous. What is more, diverse and excruciatingly enticing aromas start to emanate into the wide surroundings from the kitchen just before lunchtime and cease only long after nightfall.

3. Rooms. Not large, but sufficient for normal people. Most rooms with balconies, those on the first floor have stunning views of the sea, beach and surrounding hills. Adequate bathroom with shower (for more demanding guests maybe a little cramped). We had luke-warm water in the morning (as in many Greek hotels), but plenty of hot water at other times. Rooms were cleaned daily (except on Sunday).

4. Good service. Exceedingly friendly staff, nearly all of them with an excellent sense of humour. Everything you would expect from a small family hotel.

5. High relax factor. The hotel and its charming staff (and pets) provided us with all the elements that make for a truly relaxing and fun holiday.

We know not all reviews of this hotel are so good, but if you are a normal human being, you will be sad to leave at the end of your holiday.

Room Tip: The most stunning views are from the rooms on the first (top) floor.

Just arrived back from a week at the Sacallis Inn Hotel. Please ignore the bad reports - this place is just fantastic! The family who run the hotel are very friendly and accommodating and the staff are just brilliant. The hotel is situated right on the beach and the sea views are fab. We ate at the hotel every night as the food at the taverna is first class with lots of choice. They also have an Asian/International restaurant on the site which is equally as good. We spent our evenings sitting by the bar chatting with other guests and visitors from other hotels who came to eat there - very relaxing after a hard day soaking up the sun on the beach! Stamatis makes the best ever Pina Colada's:-). If you order one please tell him the 2 ladies from England sent you and ask for a "pinta pina"!!
Our very special thanks go to Tony, Stamatis, Petia, Angela, Katerina, Manoli, Stelios and the wonderful chefs whose names I can't remember and all the other people who made our holiday so enjoyable. WE WILL BE BACK.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view - it's stunning!

From start to finish this was a fantastic holiday experience.

We arrived late and tired and Stamatis was there to check us in with a warm smile and carried our luggage to our room. The room was clean and more than adequate for our needs and we had a view from the balcony to die for - it was stunning.

The breakfast was not to my taste but all other meals were delicious, with a very good selection of high quality food - the quanitity also made the meals good value for money. The Chef was accommodating when we wanted to try something different and was happy to talk about what he could prepare for us (this was from the fresh fish bar). The restaurant service was excellent in both the Asian and taverna - Petia, Katerina, Monolis and Stellios always had a smile and a kind word.

We were taught some Greek words so that we were able to be polite and pleasant to our hosts and also to converse with the man who kept our part of the beach clean and tidy because he didn't speak any English.

We found the atmosphere in the taverna during the evening relaxing and people of all nationalities were engaging with each other over cocktails or beer, it was good fun! Many people regularly came from neighbouring hotels to enjoy the good food and company.

What really made this holiday special was the family and staff (and dog) that run the hotel who, without exception, made us feel welcomed and cared for. Tony, Stamatis and Angela work really hard to make your stay enjoyable and their friendly and generous nature was an unexpected holiday bonus.

I have stayed in many 5 star hotels and have enjoyed them all, but this has been one of the best holidays I've had in a long time. In my opinion it would warrant a higher star rating. We will definitely be returning to the Sacallis Inn and we will be recommending it others.

I'll start by saying that this is a very nice hotel, and a good standard of accommodation, with the location right on the beach front. The problem I found was that as I paid half board option, expected a better choice of breakfast, (which was basic, and you weren't allowed to help yourself), and consisted of processed cheese and ham, watermelon wedge, tomato and a small piece of cake. When it came to evening meals, I ate in the a la carte restaurant. The half board selection was repetitive and not an extensive menu of greek dishes, so I ended up buying the asian cuisine just to have some variety of meals.

The location was good as it was by the beach and near to local shops and restaurants.
I found that the family were not very attentive, and I have been to greece and cyprus on holiday many times over the years and more recently on my own as a single traveller. For instance getting orders mixed up, and having to wait a subordinate amount of time for a replacement meal to arrive. I found that Angela who was running the a la carte restaurant was patronising, pushy and persuasive, and couldn't take criticism. This put me off eating in the a la carte restaurant as it was a lonely and upsetting experience. I even broke down in tears the middle sunday 12th august and this really did spoil my holiday. I was also made to feel like a nuisance rather than a guest.

As for ratings this hotel dosen't even meet the 2 star rating it is given in the olymppic holidays brochure. I will not be returning here again, or to anywhere in greece as I will be trying other destinations if I want a sun holiday in the future.

Room Tip: Don't stay at this hotel on any occasion,as it can get quite noisy especially in the high season...
