We are going back to stay for the third time, reading some of the reviews ,made me laugh ,because there must be two sacallis inns ha. Our rooms was lovely we had lovely views and what i noticed that the bedding was changed every day ,i have stayed in 5 star hotels and they was not changed every day. The staff who work there work hard and nothing is too much trouble. joan

This was our first ever holiday away as a couple. We chose this particular hotel as we wanted to experience a family run hotel with a more personalised feel and also to stay away from the large, busy resorts.
The good points of the Sacallis Inn are: a) the hotel is located in a fantastic area (please note that the AREA in which it is located is fantastic and not the hotel itself), b) our balcony had a great view and c) it was very clean. However this is where it all ends.
1) We could not have a shower as there was no hot water. 2) We could not complain as we would be bullied and intimidated by the owner's big brutal son. 3) We were told by a very upset owner that we should not leave the resort and spend time (and I assume our money) in other restaurants and bars. 4) The half board menu was awful. 5) Breakfast was, well there really are no words to describe breakfast. 6) The bed was uncomfortable. 7) We only had a sheet to cover up with and when we asked for some extra cover we were given another sheet. 8) And finally we had to pay for all the basics such as for example 2 Euro per day for the kettle.
No matter how bad all these aspects were, one of the aspects we think that the worst was the intimidation by the son and the owner. They really made us feel as if we complained or asked for anything we would get beaten up badly.
Please be very careful if you choose to go.

We stayed at The Sacallis in October for a week. We are well travelled and LOVE Greece!! Being the last week of the season we expected the place to be quiet, but the bar ran out of so many drinks we were nearly forced to drink water! Patia is the BEST thing about this place, she is an absolute delight and always smiling and happy! The family who own this property deserve bad feedback simply as they are all miseries! Our room was sea facing and ok, the shower room was tiny, so tiny in fact you had to stand in the shower tray to use the loo! The shower curtain was too short, making the room flood each time the shower was used - but I think this is quite usual for Greek accommodation. We were without hot water for 2 days due to bad weather and the fact they use solar panels to heat the water. BUT, they also have a boiler which could have been switched on - when my husband quietly asked when we would be getting hot water he was shouted at rudely in front of other diners! Breakfast was a joke and served in the most awful room - cheap coffee and orange squash! I have to compliment this place for the food in the evenings, all very hot, fresh and tasty. You have to like dogs if you visit this place, as their dog lays everywhere and attracts other dogs on the beach. This place is OK, very nicely located on the beach BUT could do oh so much better!

We booked this holiday through Lowcost holidays and PAID FOR A THREE STAR HOTEL and upgraded to HALF BOARD what we got was beyond belief 3 star with 2star ad outside and service that would disgrace a homeless shelter and soup shelter would provide better food !!! . Was told on arrival that to eat in dining area can have anything on menu and we would get a 2 euro discount off total bill as hotel only get this amount of 2 euro to feed two of us for the week !!!! We paid to upgrade to half board and paid a lot more than that just to upgrade , after 2 attempts to eat evening offerings sick on 2nd try . we went to eat out . I was already seeking medical attention as being eaten alive in room day n' night pharmacist said moskito's didn't leave infected bites as we now both had , and was probably a infestation of bugs bed and otherwise!! . Owner found out from waitress where we had ate out , so when we asked why no HOT WATER for 3 days he informed (SHOUTED AT) us no sun no hot water and that we are NOT allowed to visit other bars/eating places as when in his hotel we are only allowed to purchase food n drinks from his hotel bar etc not anywhere else and as we had committed this cardinal sin attempted to throw out us out . We stayed locked in room and took it turns to SNEEK OUT FOR FOOD ETC wife crying non stop HELL WOULD BE HEAVEN COMPARED TO THIS CESSPIT .there were no tea making facilities in room , Maid smuggled us a kettle n cups (she got sacked next day). balcony door didn't lock reported on day after arrival still didn't lock when left and had to drag luggage around resort allday not allowed to leave it at hotel .And then had to return to outside this place at 6 20 pm to get transfer to airport , Who telephoned hotel to tell us that they would be late only to be told by owner THAT WE DIDN'T REQUIRE PICKING UP (whilst we were outside) and had made own way to airport (NICE ********** ) so didn't turn up .Had to call them on mobile to find out where coach was they were not pleased to say the least had to divert coach back from airport to get us .we only just made flight !!!!! . BELIEVE me this is only a brief report on holiday . I am now seeking full refund and compensation for trauma suffered and we have not fully recovered now over a week later . Wouldn't go back to KOS for love or money , Holiday YOUV'E GOTTA BE JOKING

just got back from a week at the Sacallis. This was our 2nd trip in 4 months, cant get enough of it. Tony, Stephen and all the staff treat you as one of the family and cant do enough for you. Towels and sheets changed daily. Rooms are very clean and the location is second to none. The food is wonderful and now the new restaurant is up and running with a view you could only wish for, the whole Sacallis experience is wonderful, already looking forward to next year.

Just back from 2 glorious weeks with Tony and the family! Couldnt fault it at all! A great location with bars and restaurants in close proximity, but not TOO close to be noisy. Clean rooms, towels changed daily, lovely view (side view of the beach which included Kefalos Harbour) and the food.........fabulous!!! The breakfast was typically continental (it is Europe after all) but adequate. The new restaurant is very nice and the latest additions of ceiling drapes and lanterns was a nice touch. And Steven, we would love to see the final "secret" product!!!! All the staff were polite and friendly as were we to them!!!
And we were so priviledged to be able to meet baby Maria.....a little star in the Sacallis Family!!!

It was our first visit and we congratulated ourselves on finding just what we wanted in the Sacallis Inn.

just got back from the Sacallis, first time there but about 8th visit to Kefalos, arrived but no one on the reception - no big deal, found Steve behind the bar on beach, he booked us in and told us to meet him in the bar at the beach and would have a drink ready for us.
which he did one large matexa and one large ouzo

Room on the small side - but all rooms in Greece are on the small side, bathroom again on the small side, and again they all are, and typical Greek shower - hose yourself down, again as in most Greek hotels/apartments, but considering I dont spend all my time in the bathroom or room it isnt a big problem, the balcony was a good size - glad of that as I spend time 'getting ready to go out time' there having the more than the odd ouzo/metaxa than sitting in my room or the bathroom.

Location of the hotel is absolutely great as well as the bars and restaurant, the menu has a good choice, and must admit the food was pretty damn good, the food and drink a little more expensive than the taverns, but arent all hotels food/drink more expensive than bars in UK, we did eat out a few times.

Room cleaned every day apart from Sunday, regular clean bedding/towels, I asked for extra pillows, and they were there when I next went to the room.

We hired a safe [ which is in your room] and also hired a fridge, which the total cost for them was 35 euro for the week - which is average, not a rip off. You can have air conditioning but I dont know how much that is.

The staff I found very friendly and helpful, but again if you are not friendly or polite ????.

The hotel area of the beach cleaned every night, and all set up for the next day. Beach - about 2 foot of pebbles, then sea, worth buying plastic shoes

On the whole, this is a good Greek hotel, and will be go back there next year. Only problem was i only went for 7 days, would of liked 10

And lets be honest you only get out of your holiday what you put in, and try and be positive and polite, it costs nothing.

Room Tip: Double rooms are facing the beach which gets the morning sun, twin rooms on the front which get the...
