“A beautiful, relaxing hotel on the edge of Areopoli”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 8, 2011

A beautiful hotel on the edge of Areopoli - very quiet, peaceful and relaxing. The owner was very welcoming and cooked us a lovely meal on our first night. Breakfasts were huge and varied with lots of home made pastries. Loved the views and the swimming pool. Would definitely stay again. Thank you!! Manchester England

Great hotel, built in traditional style, family atmosphere. Beautiful views on the surrounding nature. Calm, peaceful, ... Didn't look like a hotel.
The very large living room was a bit dark, but nicely furnitured.

It was a bit above our normal budget, but booking.com didn't show many other availabilities with swimming pool and breakfast, we booked it online after all.

The surprise when we arrived: the pool looked fantastic, but was being repaired and waterless... The very friendly owner reduced its price for this reason. Later that night when we went to the bedroom came the next surprise: a fully equipped jacuzzi next to the bed. We were a bit ashamed to get this at the reduced price, so we didn't use it.

Then, when finally lying on the bed: I never layed my back down on such a good mattress, it feels like one never has to turn in the bed to sleep well.

The breakfast was incredibly good too, it was not a buffet (I guess because there was only one other couple), they were bringing things and things, ... it didn't stop, too much to taste it all.

A nice small hotel, with traditional architecture. Cozy rooms, with a Jacuzzi in the middle (????) which destroys all the traditional atmosphere of the hotel. Excellent breakfast with homemade pastries and local tastes. Very small pool. Friendly and efficient service. You have to drive at least 20 minutes to find a worth going beach

The views are breathtaking: mountains and ocean bay. The hotel is built out of stones like a castle of the middle ages on the outside, while inside has all modern facilities including an upstairs bedroom with a Jacuzzi for two with music selection and lighting colors within the water. The service was outstanding and the food is local and of the best quality.
All for a very reasonable price!

This is a fantastic hotel. We stayed there for one night in June and loved it. The Mani area is beautiful and the hotel is built very much in the style of the area. It is only one year old approx and the room was very fresh, very big and very clean. It was also very nicely decorated. The breakfast was plentiful, buffet style and there is a very nice swimming pool to relax in after your hot days travelling around the Mani.

The staff were also very helpful and very friendly and were very happy that we were the first guests that they had ever had from Ireland. Most of the tourists in this area seem to be from Greece which was very nice, as we got a real flavour of "real" Greece.

Oh and lastly, the price is very good for a hotel of this standard, but then we stayed there in low season (june)

Areopolis is a nice small town, with a square that is busy at night with cafes, bars and restaurants.

If you are planning to stay in Areopolis, we would recommend Ktima Karageorgou Hotel. .
