We chose to stay here, outside of a city, for our first night in Germany to rest up from our flight. The room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The outdoor restaurant had a really nice view of the hills and the town below. Being a very warm summer day, it was a perfect way to unwind from traveling all day. We walked around the grounds and saw that the indoor pool looked very inviting.

Stopped over whilst travelling from Rotterdam to Dresden, and havng just done a tour of the Mohne and Eder dams. The hotel is a typical German leisure hotel found in most rural resorts. There are 2 parts, the main building and the gasthof, I was in the latter which apart from being further from the main buuilding, apears to be os a simillar quality to the rest of the hotel. It has a superb spa and swimming pool with a sun terrace and various saunas /steam rooms.
I ate in the rustic bar which was pleasant and food and drink weren't overpriced. breakfast was plentiful and varied, and ther service was efficient.

We choose this hotel for a short vacation with our children. We choose it because it was on the kinderhotels.de website. We wanted a hotel where the kids would enjoy staying because of the ammeneties for kids. We did not expect much of it in a culinary way (and we were right: food is not great in this hotel) but hoped to enjoy the wellness (good pool, sauna and jacuzzi albeit not especially suitable for small children).

The hotel is dated, it was probably modern in the eighties (the eighties 30 years ago now) but isn't any more. But still the interior remains in good shape and well maintained and clean.

Our room was large (2 room suite) and very affordable at 150€ a night. Baby cots were in place, bathroom as the rest of the hotel, old fashioned, but spacious and clean.

Most members of the hotel staff were friendly and efficient, not very personal, some (especially in the restaurants) did not seem to enjoy their job.
The breakfast was OK but not more than OK. The food in the restaurants was not very tastefull and not especialy suited for small children, despite a small children á la carte menu.

The large indoor playground is excellent for kids, though somewhat crowded because it is not for hotel guests only.

The town of Rotenburg an der Fulda has nothing to offer at all. If you do want to go into town, do some shopping, visit pubs or attractions, choose another destination.

All in all we had a pleasant and relaxing, stay but for the food I was happy to be home again and cook myself something tastefull.

stayed at this hotel for 2 nights during the last week of august. the room was excellent with a great view from the balcony of the town below and the surrounding countryside. staff was very friendly, food in the dining room, especially the breakfast buffet was very good with a large selection to choose from. Water in the shower was hot and very soft. the swimming pool was great with nice warm water. would stay here again in a flash. well done hotel staff.

Room Tip: when booking ask for a room with a balcony facing the town below. its well worth it, especially ear...

I stayed there in November 2011 for a week of conference

Hotel seem to have been built for that purpose
It is remotely located up a hill and 'downtown' near the main station is not that diverting I must say

Conference room:
just like the entire hotel, that old fashioned feeling but not in a nice way, as in very old window curtain that not even my grand mother would hang in her living room. Choice of wall color tone can make anyone feel nauseous

Room
Clean, spacious, internet wifi charged in the room 9eur per day (as usual that already one point lost with me, I mean we are in 2011 people), the old fashioned feeling (refer to upper paragraph).
Rooms are correctly heated and ventilated

Buffet
We were there in full pension and that was the real plus, they really made different dishes at every meal and it was fantastic, anyone could find their tastes from health freaks to high cholesterol/high sugar types

Staff
Very friendly and helpful
I even got served dinner very late after official opening hours

Internet is available in the lobby, but connection is quite slow, so you kind of have to take the internet in the room option.
Hotel being in a remote location, if you have a car, it is no problem at all to park

Room Tip: Make sure to ask for a room with the city view, from the hill it much better
