Myself, wife and two kids stayed in this hotel on a stopover on the way home from Italy recently. We were tired, hungry and delighted to arrive at Gasthof Landwehrbraeu. We were told on arrival that it was hot in the hotel due to the good weather and that they had put a fan in the room. We had dinner in the restaurant and the meal was very nice, service was really good and the staff were all very friendly. Unfortunately our room was like a sauna that night, there was no air conditioning and neither myself or my wife were able to sleep a wink the whole night - not exactly desirable when having to drive 1200kms the next day. This hotel was picture postcard perfect, ideal location, good food service and facilities, but the experience of staying here and its ultimate purpose ( a good nights sleep) was completely ruined by the excessive heat in the hotel bedroom. A pity really otherwise I would have definitely given this hotel full marks. I would recommend a stay here but not in hot weather unless you have your own portable 'aircon'unit with you.

This was the beginning of our third trip to cover Christmas markets. We stayed here two night and found all the staff to be very friendly. All the hotel and dining staff seemed bi-lingual. The rooms were clean and the shower had great water pressure. We arrived late the first night and they had a table reserved for us in the dining room food was so good we came back fro dinner the next night. I didn't hurt that upon waking up on our first morning to go to the Christmas market there was a light covering of snow, what better way to get in the holiday spirit. Would stay here again without hesitation.

We have previously stayed here many times and the standard of food/hospitality/service is always very high-the Dunkle beer from the brewery next door is excellent. One thing which would be nice is to have tea-making facilities in the bedrooms!

Room tip: We stayed on the 2nd floor in a room on the corner of the hotel-it was very comfortable/quiet.

We stayed here for 4 nights whilst we visited local cities and Christmas markets. The staff were very friendly and everything was clean, tidy and Christmassy. Breakfast was basic but there was enough selection. Not enough eggs though ;). Evening meals were very nice and well presented but with the lack of kids selection, made it difficult for our 4&5 year olds. The brewery (next door) offers up great beers at great prices. Soft drinks are more expensive. The room was excellent and fit for purpose. Room was cleaned and beds were made daily and he little touches like sweets for the kids left on the pillows just added something little that meant a lot. Opposite the hotel is a large model railway museum which the children loved. The location itself is not near any supermarkets so I recommend stocking up on room/child provisions prior to retiring for the evening. Overall, brilliant and friendly
